17 people at TCU arrested for selling drugs including 4 football players. 3 starting defensive linemen including Tanner Brock. Tanner was the leading tackler at the Rose Bowl when TCU defeated Wisconsin........

Absolutely stupid thing to do.......But TCU did the right thing. When they first heard about the possibility of drugs being sold on campus by some students they immediately turned the investigation over to the Fort Worth PD instead of trying to keep it inhouse and under the carpet. The six month investigation is still ongoing and may end up with more arrests being made.

Coach Gary Patterson is beyond pi&&ed. He immediately ordered a mandatory drug test for the entire football program..........

How can someone who has such a bright future as Tanner do something so stupid?

From what was said on a local sports talk show Patterson was tipped off by a recruit that said he wouldn't play for the team because of the drug problem.

Please don't think TCU is the only school in this situation.

Every school has this issue, the only ones that don't are the ones that have not been caught.

    Fixed.

Kudos to that recruit if true but I suspect he is in for a reality check wherever he goes. :(

Maybe the Heisman finalist the Honey Badger, who was suspended last year for synthetic marijuana, will be his player escort during a LSU visit.

    Why pick on just him?

EVERY college (athletic department) has someone involved in drugs, EVERY ONE. Some more than others. 'Most' are just 'lucky' enough not to have been caught.

I'm not picking on him per se...his case is just one of the more recent high profile ones...and I knew it would rile up farta49. :D

At least our greatest player didn't grow up to become a felon and a prison dentist! That said, he was blessed with his athletic skills by being born in the Magnolia State...but got his ethics by living in BR. :p :D

    Hotty Toddy!

To constantly, relentlessly attack a program for years and years at every opportunity is just sad. There is no comparison between attacking someone for liking a team or player and another person for enjoying numerology, but go ahead and twist it all you want, you usually do.

Whisky, don't be offended. Frank is just funnin' with ya! Come to the dark side, join forces with the SEC and LSU and all will be right with the world. You can even still root for your home team. If you just admit (for now at least) that the SEC is da bess, life will be simpler for ya. I have a sneaking suspicion that USC (west) is going to be the first one to break the SEC streak.

Regarding this thread topic, it is sad really. I guess some people will always fall prey to the lure of what they perceive as the fun life. Lots of Miami guys were apparently heavy on the bud from Randy Shannon's tenure. I would guess it is reduced with our new coach, but I don't think t will ever be gone completely.

    :)
