Do you have any direct relation with the owner or collection in any way?

    George,
My question was for Niklas and his rather (imho) protective/aggressive response about the collection being posted again. If it is his collection I will respect his request but if it is not I see no reason for being so protective.

I'm not trying to cause an arguement with him either just curious, its in my nature.

    My bad...

Either if it is his or not. We are not promoting him in any way. We just wanted to have the video for our fans and car fanatics to enjoy...

    George,

I can only imagine the customs hurdles you had to jump through for this move.

All these modern supercars will not stand the test of time. Anybody want to make the following bet with me?

In 20 years time his entire collection will not be worth as much as

    A single Ferrari 250 GTO?
    A single Ferrari 250 TDF (14 Louvre)?
Three 300 SL Gullwing (original ones)?

Thats the problem with modern cars. They are fast, fun and relatively safe. But have no sustainable value.

    Long live classic cars!

RIGHT NOW this entire collection isn't worth as much as a 250 GTO.

In 20 years' time they won't be modern cars anymore. And they will be worth insane amounts.

What was the value of a 250GTO when it was 20 years old?

Does it matter what value it was? I mean a GTO is an extreme example but my point is todays supercars have no chance of becoming icons. They are not handbuilt anymore. Is Maserati, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini exclusive?
Ferrari today is building more than 7'500 cars per year. Is that exclusive?
In 1950's they built 80-90 cars. All handbuilt.

The Enzo is an icon. Extreme performance, low numbers, striking looks, etc... I would argue that it's replacement (which we haven't yet seen) will also been an exclusive car and eventual icon.

Admittedly, not every Ferrari can be an icon. I love the 348 very much and hope to own one someday - it is a supercar icon to me personally, but probably isn't to the wider population and too many examples were made for it to be considered a rare or collectable.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

The Enzo could well be the only exception among today's supercars. The numbers are low enough, the looks good enough and the name - well just perfect and a justified tribute. But time will tell ofcourse. F40 might qualify aswell. But I wouldn't bet my house on it.

For a billionaire I'm decidedly not impressed. These are merely the cars of a millionaire, he just has a bunch of them. I guess money doesn't buy taste ...

If I had $100 - 200m at my disposal, I would without hesitation buy the following:

    1. 300SLR Uhlenhaut
    2. 300 SL Gullwing Aluminium
    3. 250 TR Ferrari Pontoon Fender
    4. 250 GTO Ferrari
    5. 250 TDF Ferrari (14 Louvre)
    6. 375MM Ferrari
    7. DB4 Zagato Aston Martin
    8. Jaguar - D type
    9. Jaguar - C type
    10. Ferrari 250 SWB Aluminum

At today's market prices I would have not much left if I had $200m at my disposal
