difficult to say by this pic only...if i had to guess from this only, i do think it is an older wing with sideplates added

this car is interesting since it is also a 400S S3 with bravos

The wheels look like Bravos on my screen. The rear wheel does look like its not out far enough, you may be onto something with the conversion.

I think Evans made his car "his own" because there are certainly a few changes. I'm sure anyone can call and ask him all about it if they wish... very nice guy and easy to talk with.
It's a 1982 year 4.0 liter car..(notice the pink one off to the right- a crowd favorite:)

    Ken,
    sorry for misunderstanding ...
i think this car is interesting because i think Evans ordered it with bravos at factory
so my understanging is it has them since new

may be the wing and the rear fascia was also specified like this to lambo factory? not sure just a thought ....

    unique car, i think

    Roy,
    tks for sharing
looks a nice original car with just minor modifications, very easy to put it back

it has its proper dual distributors, flag mirrors, tool kit, etc... even the bonnet stickers are still intact!!! :)

do you have better pics of the wing? is it adjustable or fixed?
it may have been added on a second time

AND it has S1 early car Bravo's on it...Guess I am not the only one that likes the wheels on the car....even if it is the in-correct year of car...I love it.

    Well, here you go.

As I said, 1038's wing has not moved, and with some research, we know that its mounting position is correct. Also, the wing was not moved during the restoration, and the underside of the trunk reveals no alterations, or weld-shut evidence. Ive also spoken to the man who picked the car up at the factory and drove it away on the day it was finished (Jay Felter) to ascertain its original specification.

Perhaps the angle of the image Apexoversteer provided was deceptive? I think it was.

Essentially, 1121038 exists today the way it was completed at the Sant Agata works in April 1979.

Ken: from speaking with George, it is my understanding that he got the wheels from the factory when the car was new, but the car came with standard wheels which he still has.

Roy: the car is fantastic, as all Countachs are, but it sits high as an S3 or 5-liter Countach would. I know if I was paying S2 money for a Countach, Id want it to have the Low Body stance. Additionally Bravos always look great on a a Low Body and out-of-place on a Countach that sits up high. At any rate, this should be an easy fix.

    So true.

We made a huge effort to get 1121038 back to its factory spec. Note Low Body stance, "S" badge turned the correct way, Fiamm battery etc.

Now this is a perfectly conditioned car with a value slightly closer to the ever discussed 500k barrier. I assume that the windshield was removed for the paintjob.
