Looks more like an oil leak and fire than gas.

I'm not making excuses for what happened but sometimes these things are due to some mistake by the mechanic. Given the car is new and in China, it's possible.

    Who really knows though...

Have you seen this car in person? I have. It's really quite remarkable. I like it and so do the owners and future owners posting here.

    It's very nice in person.

I've sat in every seat and looked at it from every angle. Would buy it over a 599 any day.

I have heard the back seats are "real" but what does that mean? I am 6'3 260. That much real?

PS I love the looks more each day I see one, barring the one in this thread :(

    I am 6'5 and 215#.

Length wise it's no problem in the backseat and that was with a 6'1 person in the front seat.

    They are bucket seats though...

clearly there's no problem with someone not liking something... but does anybody go up to a stranger in person and say "that tie is the ugliest piece of crap and I'd never buy it" ? if so do they not expect to get punched? So why do people do that here all the time?

Well said, Chris. It gets old. Why frequent a board dedicated to a marque or model that holds no appeal for you?

Time to go find the "Ignore" list.

why would you think just because it's in China that the tec guys are less than else were in the world? My Apple I-Mac and Mac book pro are made in China, and these are arguably one of the best computers in the world;)
Here's another burning FF. It may shock you that it's in Germany http://jalopnik.com/5856379/300000-ferrari-ff-catches-fire-during-test-drive

It's not "China" and I object to your inference that I am denouncing them or undercutting their ability. I work in China.

What I'm saying is that the car is totally new and probably the only one in the country. It's possible that a mechanic failure could occur on a brand new car.

Huge difference in assembling something in China versus independently repairing something.

It would not be an independent repairing an FF in China being that car is so new. Iit would be a Ferrari trained tec.
So I don't get your point.

If so how do they sell new ferraris there? I was lead to beleve Ferrari opend dealerships there.
