I used the configurator on-line and note that it doesn't show the prices. I don't want to bother a dealer just yet (I'm not sure if I'm getting a used one or going to wait for a new one).

Does anyone have any kind of list of options and prices?

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks Adam. How are you enjoying your new Cali? Any insights you care to share.

I thought you wanted a track car, can't make up your mind can you? :D

Or, is the GranSport going to go and the Cali filling it's place?

I do want a dedicated track car, that is why I am considering trading both the CS and the Maser on a California.

I'm considering that 2:1 trade in order to open up a garage space dedicated to a track car (not sure what yet, considering Corvette, Boss 302, Cayman R, lots of others...but not a Ferrari or pricey exotic).

    Gotca, good luck! :)

Keep in mind, spec Miata's kick ass!

Also, more classics but still cool race cars: http://bringatrailer.com/category/race-car/

Off topic, but I love bringatrailer. Lots of interesting vintage cars and a great community commenting on what to look for.

Yup lots of cool track car choices. Oddly and for my own reasons, I want a street legal track car...no trailers for me...and I may even use it to commute or drive on weekends too. I'm actually leaning towards Corvette GS, Boss 302 or Cayman R. Although the new subie/scion is interesting too....as you may guess I haven't put much thought into that yet...got this cali decision to make first. And, I've got to decide once and for all if I can learn to heel/toe throttle blip on downshifts or not...if not, I have to get a DCT/F1 style car which limits my choices...another thread at some point...

Sorry for being partially OT, but skip the Vette and Mustang for track cars. Of those 3 you listed I would go with the Cayman R as it is the most balanced car in the group.

Pick up a lightly used Lotus Exige! I had a student show up at the track in one of those a few years back and I got to show him the line for the first couple of laps. It is pretty much like a go kart.

+1 on Lotus, either Exige or Elise. A guy I know who's graduated to driving instructor regularly runs down and passes GT3s and Ferraris at driving events in his Elise. Now that I know you won't be tracking your Ferrari at all, I think the Caliornia would be perfect as a replacement for your CS and Maser. It won't be as hard core as the CS but more so than the Maser and give you a Ferrari experience you can enjoy much more often and to take more places than the CS.
