Report from Italy: Faster than an Enzo but smaller than a 599. The car has a lower overall height. There is a new braking system with shutters in the front of the car that open and close when the brakes heat up. Pictures in one week.

My local dealer has 5 orders in. I was asking about the 620, and the salesman I've been acquainted with for quite some time said it's basically a modified 599. I took that as if it would be along the lines of the F430 being a modified 360, but I'm not sure. I thought it was supposed to be smaller than the 599, suggesting an all new, smaller platform (or a shrunken FF platform at least).

It's an all new car based on the FF platform.

Looks great. Finally Ferrari is moving away from the fat lip look of the 599 and 612.

I think his dealership probably misunderstood him by saying there are 5 Alonso ed. 599 ordered and coming in perhaps? And the 599 replacement would be an all new car with new 6.3L DI V12..... 700~740hp(rumor) and it will be leaning towards more of a sporting character as to the old 599 Grand Tourer handling characteristic. Tricked out DCT 7-spd would be expected...and perhaps no stick shift option for the first time as well? Anyways, we'll find out soon enough in a few days

Same way they've been doing it for years, electronic traction control.

Ever since we broke the 300hp barrier, without traction control or AWD, flooring it will spin the wheels.

You ever floor a 458 Italia with traction control off?
