".......the crossover is slated to ride on a modified version of the platform that underpins the Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg....."

Wow, VW Group is doing some serious badge engineering. VW, Porsche, Lambo with same chassis/suspension/brakes etc. Audi, Lambo same engine....

".... model will reportedly weigh less than 2,000 kg (4,409 lbs)."

Way too heavy. It will just be another SUV pig in maybe pretty clothes.

Way to ruin a brand... thanks Audi idiots.

Hopefully it will remain a concept like their stupid sedan idea.

Disgusting, but I knew they'd do it, just wonder what took them so long.

I think it's their way of keeping a steady flow of money coming in to support the cars.

While it's not to my taste, there are plenty of people with $$$ to burn who love this kinda stuff. And if getting their money into Lambo's pockets means I get cooler cars to enjoy later then I'm all for it.

I learned my lesson naysaying the Cayenne. That ugly monstrosity whose development almost killed Porsche not only saved them but made them a sales leader in that segment.

Those in the US are just starting to learn their lesson that bigger isn't better, folks in the far-East are just starting to sink their teeth into the trend. Real-estate = power and status even on the roads in big Chinese cities. Lambo's timing might just be perfect considering the price point this SUV will likely fall into.

Porsche started this "mess" with the Cayenne. Porsche in my mind, lost its exclusivness when they started building it and then followed with the 4 door sedan. Now Lambo???? When Ferrari gives in, the car world as we know it is done :(

They must be looking at the Beverly Hills Market.

Not really a lot better than a Fiero with a Lamborghini badge on it. :(

That's what I would like to see, a modern Espada to compete with the FF. They could base it on an Audi platform.

Like the Miura, they should just leave the Espada alone.

It would probably end up as little more than a Panamera re-body anyway.

The Boxter kind of killed the Exclusivity arguement. Let's remember, the LM was a pioneer and so it could be interesting to see what Lambo comes up with. I would rather have a flourishing brand than one barely able to stay afloat.
This is not a good idea however unless they start putting some funds into keeping the Vintage lambo parts supply and restorations alive.

:) Not exactly a big money maker for them. I wish the same though.

The Cayenne was a success because people could afford them.. expensive sure but still
obtainable to a much wider market than a 200k car. I'm not saying give it away but at that price you have A LOT of options and don't think this is what people would buy at 200k.
