I'm very very curious about this particular 'message/text' that appears at the bottom of certain post, "Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk". Is this something that automatically appears in ones post if using their iPhone or is it a "I gots me a iPhonze and you don'ts" type of message? Figured I would send out a questionnaire before I got all gangsta up in here and inquiring minds want to know anyway, BAM!!
I believe tapatalk adds that line at the bottom. You'll also see "sent from Samsung XXXXX" or whatever added onto posts as well. Although, there are some people who have been adding funny lines for the hell of it. Mark
I'm replying with my phone now. I'm pretty sure it's going to add that at the bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm not sure. I know for the longest time whenever I'd post from my phone it would actually put at the bottom of my post "I am here..." and have an actual map of where exactly I posted from on google maps. Finally I was able to turn that off.
Learning to use some of the cellphones on the market today and all their options require a class! I have those options on mine but it is far from a DROID or iPhone, I would be just as lost as usual.
I have about 700 pictures that somehow got duplicated on my iPhone into an album that I CANNOT delete and it is driving me nuts! I can't figure how the hell to get the damn things off.
I suspect they are not duplicates, but another "view" of the same pictures, and it is annoying and you cannot turn it off. One "view" or folder is all pictures. The other "view" or folder is pictures taken with the camera on your phone, which is a subset of all your pics. I think they do it because they know that a lot of camera phone pics are junk, so they want you to be able to easily go through those and weed out the ones you don't want to keep. Are these the folders you are talking about? Or is it something else?
It's a setting you can leave on, turn off, or customize to say whatever you want. I used to have mine say it was a toaster, then, long before the iPad came out, I had mine say it was sent from my "miniature" iPad (meaning iPhone) but no one got it and everyone thought I had somehow gotten an iPad and was showing off. So now I just have it turned off. Phone manufacturers put this in as a way of spreading the word about their product. It's free promotion. Just like hotmail and gmail messages you receive will also encourage you to open a hotmail or gmail account. A lot of people don't know you can turn it off, and a lot want you to know they have an iPhone or iPad or Samsung or whatever, so they leave it. It's a bit lame after the first month, IMO, but sometimes it helps to explain the brevity or horrific punctuation and grammar.
Hey, Zack - I just want to take a moment to give credit where credit is due. I've noticed time and again you have helped a fellow Member out, and for that, you deserve a round of applause . . . ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Not to be outdone, Fan512bbi will be along shortly with a round of drinks for everyone!
<looking at shoes and mumbling aw shucks> Wax, thank you, that's nice to hear and much appreciated, and if we ever meet, drinks are on me. BTW, if anyone here likes rum, try to find an Indian brand called Old Monk. It's my absolute favourite, and I bet you will love it.
Fan512, mate, I owe you big time. I memorize a couple of your jokes from the joke thread before each gathering, and I am guaranteed to be the life of the party!!
