Nice work!! I have the sticker for both my 88 and my 89...

How many miles on her now? LOVE Carrera 3.2's and for me at least- the G50 positively makes the car- I know the pre-87 crowd seems to love the 915 tranny, but I gotta have the G50...Here's my 88 Coupe and 89 Cab.

As you can see both of mine are on 9" rears- The 88 is lowered as low as I can get it without chewing up the tires.

I've seen the Silver Carrera logo around- I think Einmalig had them a few years ago- check with them- they have stuff that's not on their site. Part # is 993.559.237.00 70C - but they should be able to get the chrome one.

fuchs 16x9's can be found at times in the $1500-1700 range for the set of two.

the 9's are a very good mod for the narrow body 3.2.

Congrats on a great looking car.

    Although I'm a little biased as I have an '87 :)

No doubt you know this already, but the best forum I've found for this era is the Pelican Parts 911 Technical Forum.

A great source for graphics is this guy, he can make pretty much anything, but does the best and most authentic (non factory parts) graphics around.

    http://www.nbdgraphics.com/

Again a great looking car, one of the best years, you're in for a great ride :)

    Cheers
    Matt

Your coupe looks immaculate. How many miles on that beauty? Have you done anything other than lower it?

If you're thinking of selling it in the near future PLEASE drop me a PM.

Thanks- Lowered, drilled rotors, replaced front seat lather and had the heads done a few years ago- clutch and tranny done by the PO...Car has 118K now.. it's STRONG too. G50 shifts like butter- even ice cold- nice short throws and slots right into gear nicely.

A blast to drive the Carrera back to back with my 308GT4 (Now being restored by Bradan)... two very different approaches to build a similar car.

I usually store the Porsches and Ferraris for the Winter but we haven't really had one yet- so I've been driving all of my cars all Winter. I thought about selling the 88 when I bought my GT4 but actually found that I really, really liked it. Liked it so much that I went out and bought the 89 Cab to keep it company. Got a few housekeeping things to do to it- sunroof headliner sagging- gotta replace the cracked dash and probably the 24 yr old carpets could be replaced.

More than anything people LOVE an aircooled Porsche- nothing but nice things are said when I drive either around. Sometimes people can get snarky when you're refueling a Ferrari.
