Though I've not seen a FF in person I don't think that angle gives a true idea of its scale. For that you need a profile shot.

Wheelbase on a 599 is 108.3" and the FF's is 117.7"; that 9.4" is roughly the difference in overall length as well.

The overall front end is very similar to the Aventador. I miss the curves on some of the past models, everything is all angles now.

As with all new Ferraris, nice overall stance and proportions, but lots of unnecessary surface lines, styling for styling's sake.

612 Scaglietti and 599 is already almost too big for European roads. I always found it very ironic that these cars are made in Italy, were as we all know, the streets can get very, very tight and narrow.

Lambos aren't svelte either...Italians like their super cars the way we Americans like our fast food...super sized.

Rear quarter/fender execution looks pretty amateurish and really looking out of place - looks like a poor 60's retro effort.

None of the typically interesting surfacing we usually see from Pininfarina.

Wonder if this was Pininfarina, or did they finally do an in-house job?

Should we be concerned for Enzo successor? I expect some unique car, not refurbished design creature from various models

 

The one on the black background is just a photoshop. Pretty funny how so many sites are running it as an official picture.

 

I think the real car is going to look better than the wooden model. I wouldn't be surprised if the awkward or slightly ill porportioned areas have been improved on the production car.

Why was there a full-scale wooden model shown as opposed to an actual car? I know there was a red car there too, just wondering what particular purpose the wooden model served (if any)?

 

To be honest, I'm not understanding some things... There is no connection between the photo leaked by GtSpirit and the second teaser of the 620: the rear air intake is missing and the design is totally different.

 

I'm pretty certain the teaser from Autoblog is just an artist's conception somebody threw together after seeing the front end of the actual car. It certainly looks more like a CG image than an actual picture to me.

Gross. First the hideous FF and now this.

 

First, I must say I do love what I see and as many have commented, I believe the "actual car" will look even better, as I'm also anxious to see the rear. On the other hand, it's just funny, because we all theorize, sketch, etc., to try and determine what the "620" will look like. But, only speaking for myself, I finally see that "first" picture today, prior to the "620's" official unveiling and I'm unexpectedly pissed that someone ruined the "surprise" for me. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the car and was SUPER anxious to see it, but people "leaking pictures" ahead of the unveiling, kind of took away the "allure" of waiting till the 29th. I'm sure some will definitely disagree with me, but just my thoughts.

More importantly, for those who attended the actual Ferrari "private preview" in Maranello, in your opinions, how was it possible for someone to sneak a pic like that? Judging from everything I've heard, Ferrari is EXTREMELY, CAREFUL regarding the confiscation of all cameras/camera-phones within these "private previews"? I'm just curious as to what you all think, regarding how someone could've snapped a pic like that, without anyone noticing? Have any of you ever seen someone get "busted"? Grazie mille. Ciao.

Ding ding ding. Agreed.

Too many things didn't add up that are beginning to look more clear to me...the rear fender and quarter-window in the "model" look nothing like the stills of those sections in the real metal from the teaser video. The window looks sharper, the fender taller with a more pronounced line. There's also A LOT of metal between the door and rear wheels including a second lower panel in front of the wheel. None of that confirmed by this picture.


I will continue to hold my breath.
