It was a bank owned car in FL (repo), a dealer bought it but there is no reason why a private party could not have bought it. It has 18k miles on it. Wait a week or two and I bet I can find it for sale on eBay.

Sorry Russell I can't give an exact figure but the good news is I'd bet Ferrari can't either :)

They over ran F40's by like 30% I believe but still hold they only made so many.

Like I had said I don't see the 16m losing more than 10-15% in value from today's numbers even when the new 458 SuperAmerica starts hitting the ground. Your car is a real soft top and people like that. A lot don't like Targa tops ;)

To the Poster that said just add a $49k turbo kit to the 430 and smoke the 16m. Sure you can do that but you also now have a compromised engine that has almost no resale value because most Ferrari owners won't buy chop shop add on's unless Maranello did it themselves. Just the reality of the Ferrari Market. You just have a $49k out of your pocket for a little fun that you will never recoupe.

I will never own a 16m but it still remains the number one car I would pick if I only had 1 exotic car. Even though the seats are insanely uncomfortable for 200-500 mile trips. It's fast, sexy and has trunk space for you and your wife. It truly is a fantastic car and priced in the 225-250k range nothing comes close. Nothing!

I know that Stokpro might know this. He knows CS's for sure but also watches the 16m's occassionally. If he sees the thread he might be able to tell you.

I'd say many sellers have pulled their cars from the market because there really isn't a market so they've decided it's not worth it.

Well if you want to sell but if you think market is unrealistic you don't pull the listing, just don't change the price, so are there 30 for sale in the US or not ? The 458 Spider, depending on your tastes is probably a better car but will never be as rare. The only thing I can say about the 499 16M produced, is why are Ferrari not honest and say no 253, of 499 produced on the plaque, if Renault can manage this with the Clio Sport ??

    I'm *guessing* somewhere near ~30.

My logic on this is that there are 15 on Cars.com right now and usually cars.com has somewhere in the 40-60% range of total available cars. I'm not going to invest the time to check all of the sites that could contain 16Ms to prove its 25 or 30 or whatever...

[For reference there are only 4 CSs on cars.com right now and I think Stockpro said there are 15-20 total for sale...]

Yeah, I've heard that too....would be nice to know how many...

Aren't these cars "numbered"? As in each car has a plate that says #X out of 499? I'm going to the dealer to look at one later today or tomorrow and will check...but if an owner could chime in here please...

Cars say 1 of 499 or limited to 499

    I don't remember for sure.

So to answer the question it doesn't say 34 of 499 like the CGT's do.

    1272 or 1252 I don't remember for sure.

They were supposed to make 1500 but the later cars were going to have to change to meet more safety requirements for the US so Porsche stopped making them. A handful of 2006's were shipped to clients but nothing past 2005 made it to the States.

I've been watching the Scuderia prices for the last month and tracking a number of individual sales and come to the rough conclusion that the supply is shrinking a little and prices and firmed up for the outstanding examples. A car I was wanting to buy just sold at Miller Motorcars. Asking was $209k.

I was helping a friend find a Scud....prices have firmed up for the nice cars. Any cars that have questionable history (Ferrari Driving School) and/ or higher miles are the ones selling in the lower prive ranges.

Scuds will hit bottom soon...once they do expect little to no dramatic price swings up or down.

not a bad price if you can get it for $160k? I wouldn't mine the mileage on these.

There is a black one that has been sitting at Ferrari of Houston, with about the same miles, so you have 2 options for the $160 range.

There are a couple 2009's, one black (Interstate Motors) and one Red (Motorcars Int.)
in the low 180's. Was looking at the black one at Interstate, but I wanted stripes, and red calipers to match the interior. Calipers would be no more than $1000 through Bradan to refinish.

Not this again. Sorry buddy. Dream on. I am playing with the big boys and I don't see any chance that Scuderias will ever be $250k again. Never ever. Not later this year. Not next. BTW - find any 458s up in Canada for $100k like you predicted?
