I'm afraid not. The car has been for sale on that site for quite a while now. I was hoping someone here would know about the ca,r before I contact the owner.
Yes, I think it's 8714. I sent the owner an email (no phone, no address), and I will see what happens.
Yes it is #8714. Car is on autoscout with the same seller since 2008. I know it was offered earlier this year by someone in Germany but not sure whether he bought the car or acted as an intermediate.
Anamera is my hometown Not there, this one has been 'flying under the radar' for quite a while apparently
well there is certainly a brain trust on here that can help . I will start buy asking what can we do for you to help you get the right car ? Gary Espada 8394
Thanks Gary, but who said I want to get a car? Fact is, back in '07 I was in the market for a 'mint' Espada, meaning: ready to drive, as few issues as possible, dark blue or black over light tan interior. Basically looking for this: http://www.klassiekerrally.nl/magazine/dinkels-dreamcars/lamborghini-espada-s3/ I didn't find what I was looking for, and a good friend/good mechanic kept me from buying a potential nightmare on several occasions In '08 I encountered a severe financial blow (courtesy of Lehman Bros) and the idea was put in the fridge. At this moment I am tiptoeing towards it again. I'm not a billionaire, 4 kids (2 in college), so I'm careful. Know what I mean?
I recommend you look for one in the U.S. The prices are relatively cheap if you're paying in euros and the trans-Atlantic shipping is only about $1500. There are lots of us spread around the country, some of whom I'm sure would be willing to inspect a car for you. AR
Thanks, and that would be a good scenario if it weren't for 'VAT'. For everything I import from the US I have to pay 21% of 'value added tax'. A 50 000 $ car for instance would cost me 60 500 $ plus transportation. The only way around that would be to underestimate the car's value on the invoice. Don't know if that's a good idea.
Hi In the UK there is a special 5% VAT import rate for items of 'historic interest'. A recent court decision means that any car over 30 years old is presumed to qualify for the 5% rate. I imported my Silhouette into the UK from the US last year and paid 5% VAT and no import duty. I appreciate that you are in Belgium not the UK, but it might be worth enquiring about this as I think VAT rates are supposed to be harmonised across the EU. PM me if you want any more details; this forum is supposed to be about wonderful cars so we don't want to clutter it up with the joys of tax . Jonathan
Thanks Jonathan, I hadn't heard about that, and I don't know if it applies over here, but I will certainly do some research.
this is my old car, sold it some month ago to Germany, I already miss her Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey, we're almost to 100 pages! I'll do my part to push us over by posting this pic of us tearing into the front suspension. That was a few weeks ago, we've put it back together and are now doing the rear. Image Unavailable, Please Login
green color really goes together with yellow. Me and my wife took some pictures out in a field some years ago. The green color is very green , unfortunally I cannot specify the type. Your car seems to be more light greyish green. The colour is discussed her before I still miss here
