I took this photo at the very exciting 1974 MidOhio CanAm race. It is the Ferrari driven by Herbert Mueller.

Question, can anyone here tell me is the basis of this car a 512M?

    Thanks

I think it is, the only other chance would be the 712 and i don´t think this is it.

I agree - 1036. This is a cut down 512, not the 712 (1010) which was more heavily modified.

#1036. Born as 512 S Berlinetta, then became a 512 M Berlinetta. Can-Am Spider modifications then done by Edi Wyss Engineering in Zurich, Switzerland, for Herbert Müller. Sold by Herbert Müller January 1977 to current owner who had it rebuilt back to 512 M Berlinetta configuration.

The 24 Hours of Nurburgring draws a lot more than that.
