Its with Luca. I think he's been a little too conservative with design with the V12. I don't want to make any final judgments because I haven't seen the final product. But a lot of you guys are making me very nervous. I don't want to rehash this entire thread but in my humble opinion the Testarossa is the prettiest Ferrari EVER. When Luca went in another direction with the 550 I was horrified but the 550, 575 and the 575 SA are gorgeous front engine cars. They are practical but elegant with a personality. The 599 is just too practical. Luca has the formula "almost" perfect IMO. Ferrari Hyper Car 40, 50, Enzo should look like space ships with insane performance Mid Engine V8 should be sporty and exotic looking but not over the top. Front engine V8 should be practical and elegant 2+2 should be practical with great performance Front engine V12 flag ship should have flare & look exotic or sporty/elegant I understand that Luca doesn't want to create an over the top car but I think the flag ship V12 needs to have more flare than the 599. Its just something about the 599 that doesn't capture "it" visually for me like the 575 or TR.
Italy is 6 hrs ahead of EST right? So it will be 7PM EST, here in Philly/NYC. Originally, Ferrari's Facebook page said 10AM CET, so I'm really glad they moved it back. Can't wait, though I hate that we kind of already know what to expect, either way it's going to be exciting! What other "car" company offers this type of anticipation? NONE! That's why I'm a tifosi! What other ANY COMPANY generates this interest. The world awaits a new Ferrari 12 cylinder GT. It doesn't get any better. I'm in California right now. If I've got it figured out right, when I get up early and go to my computer, all will be known.
Ferrari.com says 1 PM CET which to me translates to 8 PM Hong Kong time today Feb 29th. (about 11 hours from now). As far as I can determine, that's 7 AM EST.
I was not saying that. I have not seen it in person and have thus made no decision. I'm merely posing a question to those who have already made their conclusion.
Beat me to it.. also, trying to explain passion for either to an outsider is frustrating.. f are just cars, and apple "are just computers, and they're expensive, and you just have them because they're hip".. annoying.. better product is better product
Was thinking that it would be great if the new car does not have any 620 in its name..along the line of the (probably apocryphal) story of Enzo hearing that the "Daitona" name had been leaked and thus decreed that the car was called the 365 GTB/4..even though a lot of purists even today will say Daytona..somebody generally in the know threw out a name today that is totally different..
