How is that? Summer is only few months away and I'm still seeing quite a lot of Scuds on car.com etc. 250k is a lot of $$$ to jump.

How much is the yearly service for 10k miles a year with 2-3 track weekends? Just want to know the guesstimates. Someone is telling me it'll be $5000-$7000 a year so would like to validate since this is a buying guide. Thanks.

All you need to do is get all the fluids changed. Any infant can change the air and pollen filters.

He's been a touch out of touch for over a year now.

    Translated

He said We in the US are responsible for the depreciation of Scuds from 300k to where they are now. Because No cars depreciate. He is also stating this is the reason the US is broke because we are Americans and screwed it up.

So our little sewing circle of gossipers are single handedly responsible for crashing the entire supply of Scuderias to a value of $160k. And because we recognize the economics behind supply and demand of said cars, have crashed the U.S. economy.

I don't know about you, but I want to move to Canada. 458 Italias are $100k. I'll make money on a Scuderia. And the beer is pretty good.

I almost love it... red is awkward in the interior and don't like the blue on the steering wheel. I'm not feeling the yellow stripe either. Dig the blue paint and actually like the gold rims with it.

Their dollar sure has gained some value. You know as well as I that this thread alone controls the entire pricing structure of every Scud.

In the owners forum we are controlling Frozen Concentrated Orange juice futures. Yes we are that powerful. :)

Don't run the stock pads ($4k a set plus labor), 4-6 track days, a good set of brake pads (not street, and not the $$$ Challenge pads) will get you through 6 track days. Think $1,500 for pads.

Fluid changes after 6 track days at a F-dealer to keep nice records: $1,500.

Run dedicated track tires (not R6/A6/slicks, use MPSC, R888, RA1), 24 heat cycles. $1,500

So, without track fees, transportation, alignment, etc, it would be a tad under $5k. With alignment, shims, corner weight, close to $6k.

Adding track miles to the car (my estimates), is a $4/mile depreciation on this car. So, adding 800 track miles in 6 track days at $4/mile would depreciate the car by $3,200. Add the miles driven on that year, insurance, license fees, waxing, washing, and numbers add up. On the assumption that in addition to track miles you drive the car for 6,000 miles, adding depreciation of $12,000 plus the other depreciation on track miles (around $3k)...

You'll be around $25k running costs for the year. However, a good chunk goes in depreciation (around $15k), and you don't get to see it until you sell the car.

$25k/year is chump change for a $200k car, considering that track consumables, insurance, depreciation is already included, and you have put close to 7,000 miles on the car, with 800 miles of them being racetrack miles during 6 track days.

Wow I love it! Scuds should be like race cars --- over the top in color and graphics. I think it's fantastic. I wouldn't change a thing.
