The design exudes sex...I suspect the rear treatment is deliberately contrived in that direction. The outlines of the curves of the sides are also feminine. The wheels are remarkable. The front is by far the best rendition yet of the upturned eggcrate grill, now giving a much more businesslike impression from the more angled outline, and the underlip and brake scoops (which appear to be shuttered). Yet the 'smile' is still there as a faint curve of the sheet metal fading toward the front wheel arch.

The interior is indeed not flamboyant, as has been noted. But it creates a modern yet refined environment. I too am somewhat disappointed by the standard seats as a bit too restrained, esp. when you consider the 458 standard seats.

I reckon it as 50 inches high, putting it just 2 inches higher than the 458. I think that in person it will knock your socks off.

PS It is shown in what is evidently a new red: "Rosso Berlinetta."

I think it looks great and not a disappointment after the buck. Love the 8c/275 back and overall it has real class whereas its direct competitor, the Aventador, to me, is somewhat vulgar and over designed. A worthy successor to the 599 which suddenly looks old, and no doubt it will be even better in the flesh. And let's not forget the stunning performance figures, finally quicker than an F1, and where this moves the goal posts for the next Enzo!

Like everything but that FF front grill and was expecting a little better interior; but, overall pretty good.

It doesn't make the 599 look old at all, it looks like a completely different car IMHO.

    Hawt.

It's like they took the Daytona, deleted the 70's vibes and added in the future.

I would give it an A- minus.

I'm just not feeling the huge grill in the front. If the grill was a little smaller & they did something else creative on the front this car would be perfect.

Perhaps the F12 GTO will plus the grill as the 599 GTO did?

    I don't see that happening.

F12 looks great. They managed to do it again. Can't wait to drive this one but won't trade my GTO for it ;)

Was wondering the same about you Carlo! The smaller dimensions would definitely benefit driving around Monaco and the Cul de Turini

This car looks amazing! Having a NA V12 producing 730/740hp just kicks the Lambo's new bull in the nu!$ (2 generations ahead my @$$).

Though with all that has been achieved with the 599 GTO, might make sense to make GTO the brand of limited-edition, sport-focused, front-engined 12's going forward?

It is an impressive car. And that is exactly what I feel is wrong with it, you could have drawn two cars with those lines. Call me old fashioned but I am missing elegance, and would rather show up in a 458 as its design is more coherent. I see BMW, Corvette, Aston Martin and Lamborghini styling in this car; individual items that are by themselves very tasty but all mixed together like here don't really do it for me.
I do like the dash and the 8C treatment in the back.

The 599 will be staying with us until its wheels fall off :)

The car has depreciated so much (especially with the mileage!) that its intrinsic value far exceeds its market value IMO. Not to mention the sentimental attachment resulting from all the great memories...

An F12 may or may not be added at some point in the future. We shall see.

I am very anxious to drive one. I am certainly glad they decided to reduce the dimensions...but at 194cm it's still a very big car. 186cm (or less) would have been another story...

I can imagine the sentiment built up from all the memories is worth more than any monetary value, I'm glad you have had such an experience. What is the mileage to now?

That would be quite something to own a part in the evolution of the V12 Ferrari GT car. Quite a thought.

I guess it is still a rather large car, but at least it is a move in the right direction. Cheers to you Carlo!

I think this is the one big issue with this car. The 599 has depreciated so much and will continue to fall after this car comes out.

It's really expensive. Its like throwing away a few hundred thousand in a couple of years. If buyers aren't convinced the new car won't fall the same fate, it may be a tough sell for all but those who don't mind tossing that much out the window.

Then again, the California has held up better in resale than a lot of people thought.
