I hate to ask, but I had a situation unexpectedly come up and I got caught in some bad weather. Now I have a light coating of road grim/salt on my recently waxed car.

How do I get it off before the detailing can begin. HELP!

    Thanks in advance.

Hose it down with water ASAP. Than wash with a good car wash liquid and dry quickly to prevent water spotting

I know that....I have easily every thing in the griot garage catalog and it's always immaculate. I NEVER take it out in rain let alone salt. I was looking for more like Ferrari owner expert type advice. Your sig image is right on the money.

Thanks to everyone else who had helpful sincere advice. Its all washed up now, Now it needs a real detail.

After the salt removing i would tell you to spray it with a mix of hot water and WD-40.

Is this for real? What does the mixture do for/to the finish? I've never heard of this. Interesting.

NO NO on the WD40.... it can take some forms of paint off...

Just stick with some good (warm if possible) soap and water. (In-fact, even a decent foamer will work fine).
