Ferrari doing much better on their tires while Mercedes are going the opposite direction with their tires. Quick, but wearing down quick.

Don't freak out. Brawn said in a German interview they were playing with suspension setups this week to decide how to run the tires. They're simply deciding whether to push them hard early or allow them to fall off slowly. Also, Merc are running a new rear wing

Ferrari really need to do some race sims this week.

The RB is just amazing on tires. Hardly any degradation. The Mclaren and Merc appear to both be quicker on fresh tires but neither have the same level of tire consistency the RB has.

Yeah, the Ferrari is in a muck. Too bad really as it's such a striking car.

Merc's tire wear appears to be degrading about 1.5 seconds over a 12 lap stint while Red Bull are losing about 1.1 seconds over a 15 lap stint. Very impressive once again from Red Bull.

They are off pace on full loads by a good .500-.750. Although they do appear to be much better on tires than they were.

If that's the case, they are going to be hard to beat.

Bummer. If that's the case lets hope they get it together. Where do you get lap times from?

look at the full load fuel runs for the best information. You will know these runs as the times are in the 1:28-1:32 range

No surprise really Steve....IMHO RB will win it all again although it won't be a cakewalk like last year. Hopefully Webber can take the fight to Seb...we tifosi will spend most of the year debating who should take Massa's seat in 2013 I'm afraid...

However I don't think Webber will take the fight to Vettel but rather the McLaren boys.

As for Massa's replacement: I wouldn't be surprised if Di Resta gets it.

In regards to testing: I'm just delighted that Lotus resolved its chassis problem and is back on track and fast. The Iceman cometh!

True enough, lets hope the Mc's or Lotus can give em a fight, not looking like Ferrari as yet.

I don't know really, I think if the tires are good for Mark he will bring the heat. He really struggled with the tires last year and he is an excellent race-form driver.

As for Mclaren, we don't really know how good or bad they are on tires. We know as of today that the Mclaren and Mercedes are both quicker than the Red Bull in quick turns which might make for some interesting qualifying sessions. By this afteroon, Merc was getting a good handle on their tire situation but I don't believe they will be as easy as the Red Bull is on tires ever. Mclaren may just be able to surprise us if they have their tires under control as the basis for Mp4-27 is very good indeed

I heard Costa is going to be at testing tomorrow. Will be weird seeing him in MB gear.

Yes, but it's possible his former employers may be wishing he was back in red.

I'm hearing from Gary Anderson that the Ferrari is looking more quick but remains a handful to drive.

Sounds like a death sentence to Massa's career with the Scuderia.

IMHO I thought Massa was done in 2010 when Moses Schumacher outqualified him at Massa's fav track-Brazil.
