    Gentlemen,

SuperSprint SpA received a customer's Ferrari 458 Italia last week at their Mantova - Italy facilities for research and development on various exhaust offerings for this car. There are many options currently being researched by SuperSprint. This thread will allow potential 458 customers to have an inside look at the development of an exhaust system and its various options.

While we cannot reveal just yet what the offerings will specifically consist of, SuperSprint is looking to develop a full exhaust system including high performance header systems that will be a completely new design compared to the stock headers with flex joints. SuperSprint has vast experiences with various exotic materials and intends to make their 458 system a flagship of their engineering capabilities.

SuperSprint's objective with this system are clear:

    1. Most performance gains
    2. Limit intrusive drone
    3. Re-use OEM tips and/or SuperSprint's own tips
    4. Valved system
    5. Most weight reduction

This thread will compile all the pictures, dynographs, sound clips and detailed assessments on the development of the Ferrari 458 Italia by SuperSprint.

Here is the 458 Italia on SuperSprint's MAHA dyno. The high-tech, German-made Maha is renowned for scrupulously honest methods of power calculation. Baseline pressure and temperature figures are collected along with power and torque data during two types of dyno tests: a fixed-load test where the vehicle is slowly brought up to its top gear and cruised at 60 mph for about 90 seconds per run, and a full-load test (the regular dyno pull we all know and love) where the vehicle is run full throttle from about 2000 rpm to redline in its closest gear to direct drive (1:1, gear ratio to final drive ratio).

    Gary,

We will release full dyno numbers of the stock 458 Italia next week. Not surprisingly coming from Ferrari - it dyno'ed slightly under the advertised numbers.
