I strongly suspect (& hope! ) it's a hoax. They'd be *stupid* to replace him at this stage IMO.

The 'big news' Sky was talking about is that Red Bull are running a heavily updated RB8 tomorrow. How this became 'massa sacked' is beyond everyone

 

Seems we both posted at the same time! I was not sure if InsideFerrari really was theirs or if the owner of the account was just faking it.

 

If this was intended as an April Fool's joke, they're about a month early.....

 

Well it is F1 so I would not be surprised if it was true.

 

Who would replace Massa, at this late date, makes this a joke. No one would be willing to let go a driver in contract with the season about to start.

 

It's a hoax or Ferrari would have released a statement first.

The only way something like this would happen is if some incident had happened - like Massa had a blow-out with DiMozzarella or something.

I think Felipe knows he's on borrowed time, so I really don't think such a thing would happen - he knows his role.

 

True on both accounts --- and a good incentive for him to get his butt in gear this year.

He doesn't need to beat Alonso all the time. But, he was consistently 3 to 5 positions BACK in almost ever session -- not just qualifying or the race but every session -- last year.

He can do it. He's a great driver. Maybe this is the year he gives his detractors the middle finger.
