    I KNOW!

They started off on Twitter very professional, small, Ferrari-vauge-style comments, but they have gotten steadily more ballsy! Which I like, shows personality, and in this situation, a real team spirit in supporting Massa!

    Well Done Ferrari!!!

PS: You can see it is really them, the spelling of Tweeting as 'Twitting' proves as much! :) Bloody Italians!

I know! Their "horse whisperer" column on the Ferrari website sometimes uses very non-PC language. I love it!

Maybe a moderator could update the thread title? Perhaps "Massa (NOT) Fired. Confirmed"

I got all excited there for a minute. :D

I am sitting her at the Test Day in Barcelona and he was on top of times late morning so I hardly think there is any truth to this. Just broke for lunch.

    Twitter is the joke.

The fact that Scuderia Ferrari even has the time
to give this complete and utter distraction should give
    serious pause.

Rumor mongers, Felipe just went past us as we are sitting in G2 top row for right now.

Another view I have is concerning the way Ferrari has been supportive of Felipe since his accident. So on that note I seriously doubt that just mere weeks before the start of the season they would "pull the rug out from under him" so to speak. I think Felipe is a good fit for the team and hopefully he can get a few wins this season.

    :)

It's mean to get me all excited for nothing.

Oh well, one more season watching go down the toilet then we'll be finally rid of him.

And if we're lucky they might sack him before season end.

I suspect that even if Felipe regains some of his past form and even wins a few races he is going too be out either way. He has had a very good run and who knows it could continue for another season but I highly doubt that.

    Won't happen.

    Definitely won't happen.

    What for?

He has been hanging on non delivering for too many seasons already.

He has become the DC of Ferrari: Nobody can explain why he stays on for another season yet he does.

Massa just came in for pit stop, probably change tires but they put up the screens so you don't know what is taking place. rain had stopped again.

You know this thread was about Massa, and not Alonso, right?

I can explain why he stays on...

    They need a driver who..

    1) Is good
    2) But not good enough to challenge Alonso
    3) And is OK with being the #2 female-dog of the team
    4) And has experience (no rookies allowed!)
    5) And can be had for a reasonably low price

How many drivers fit the bill? And of those, how many are free and willing to go to Ferrari and take the job? There is a lot of talk about guys like Button, but why would anyone like him want to jump into that seat at Ferrari?

I don't think there are many choices, actually.

+1 Ive been saying this for a long time. If you dream of wins and a title, Ferrari is the last team to be at unless you are #1.
The only driver who might be a good fit is Kovalainen. He's played the role before.

You lost me right there. Arriving multiple positions/30 seconds behind Alonso isn't good.
