think it looks pretty good. as far as any resale options you may have missed would be the nav and rear view cam. and potentially the nose lifter.

but if you dont plan on getting rid of it anytime soon, and you spec'ed it to how you want it, you cant beat it!

congrats on the order! make sure to post up when you finally get the keys

I'm dying to spec a car with Grigio ferro. It is very cool IMO. I don't know if it goes with cuoio. I had a car silverstone over cuoio and it really looked great. Grigio ferro on the other hand may not be quite right. Tough to say. Waddya think about bordeax interior or Nero/charcoal.
Otherwise, spec sounds great. Love to see it.

Thought about bordeaux but not my favorite. Nero already done twice and wanted a change. I spec'd the car at the NY FNA showroom and my contact there thought it would look strong. We looked at the leather with the grigio ferro paint sample as well as on the configurator and it seems good. Playing it a little out of my comfort zone but really wanted cuoio interior in next car! Based on what I have seen, ferro is similar to silverstone but lighter, so should be quite similar in terms of match.

thanks - have had two 458 coupe and neither had cam or nav or lifter all by design, trade in value was not an issue. I prefer the sensors instead of cam so i don't get the hole in bumper.

In particular I think the lifter on the 458 is entirely useless. The nose clearance on this car is completely suitable to essentially any surface or ramp out there unless you have a 20% pitch on your driveway ..

Cuoio is just so rich. I can understand why you want it. Ferro is interesting in that it appears very flat as opposed to the metallic silverstone. I would love to see this car in person.

I think I have addressed this in response above. I've had two 458 since July 2010 and I've never found a use for the lift .. No need to waste coin

Everyone with a 458 without the lift can go up or down an incline without scrapping. Every day I use the lift because when I pull out into traffic I don't have to wait to creep out into the street. Everyone I know who has one loves it along with the ferrari sales crew who drive into traffic from an incline everyday. They also mentioned not one person with the lift has added skid plates. Plus if you never had the lift how do know its value.

I've never used it either and have not ordered it for my Spider. Not to say it wouldn't come in useful....its that I've just gotten use to angling in on steep incline/declines. I've never really had a problem even though I lower nearly all my sportscars.

We're beating a dead horse here. The value of the lift? Its very simple to quantify: it prevents you from scraping your car and the associated repair costs. Since I haven't scraped the car once, nor do I expect to based on where I drive, its value is zero. Pretty clear I think.

Granted, you may have a particularly steep situation to negotiate, in which case its a necessity. But it does not appear like those situations are that common judging by other responses in this thread from lift owners.

Yes. Or at least, it always used to be. I haven't seen it on a modern Ferrari for a long time.

Beautiful color. Looks a little lighter then silverstone. Maybe more brown flecks?

Best of luck! Do you know of any pictures of the painted front grill (between winglets)? I'm also considering the carbon on the B pillar but have not seen that in pictures either. Thx!

My dealer tells me there is no carbon fiber option for the interior door release handle. His he correct? Your spec's show it listed. Thx

They are available aftermarket too. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost for that option?

Congratulazioni!! Finally someone is ordering Grigio Ferro! It´s such an elegant color.... beautiful! It´s my favourite color of the paint range. Cuoio will look great against it, but let me suggest you try Cuoio Toscana (from the FF) it´s a little bit more orange and it will create a very nice contrast with Grigio Ferro. IMO this is the best match. Enjoy! -Pablo.
