My only glimmer of hope for this season is that what has been said is only "verbal sandbagging" as I call it. However I know the chances of this being the case are extremely unlikely :(.

If the Ferrari car this season is a disaster, I'd like to see Kimi take another WDC and have either the Lotus or Merc win the constructors' title. Most of all though, I'd like to have 4 or 5 teams in duking it out for the wins every GP, instead of having 1 or 2 teams dominate the whole season.

Didn't Ferrari come up with the same pre season excuses in 2004, sandbagging and all, before the F2004 lapped the entire field?

Maybe, but people that where at the test aren't at all positive about the Ferrari. The fairy tale has ended and quickly storming into a nightmare.

If they are not doing that already I would be surprised. Good advice!

    I was being ironic.
Despite what you read here the 2012 season isn't quite over. ;)

They went for what appears to be an innovative design. Just what we were all looking for. Even if it's a blind alley the change in attitude should be celebrated.

Im happy they are moving to innovate. At the same time this formula faces a new era next year. I cannot think in some ways they are not looking more and more beyond this year. Ferrari have the security of being able to do this without much repercussion I would think.

Lets hope they can make progress with this new car swiftly.

No doubt that all the teams are working on designs for the new formula. Not the same thing as writing off 2012 of course.

Yes, they were sandbagging but at the final test at Imola, IIRC, finally it looked good. At some stage of pre-season testing, you have to stop sandbagging to see if the damn car really works or not.

Bring back testing! It's like not allowing athletes to train in the off season, it's just absurd, especially in the "premier" motorsport.

You could train Miss Piggy all day and she still won't win the Decatholon.

So apparently this is the Ferrari exhaust butchering history for this testing season. They will start with the right solution in Melbourne (just from interpreting the italian words, might be wrong though)... So that looks a bit like W02 to but worse... Until they get their rear end sortet out, I fear we will see the drivers struggle to be competitive. IMHO their entire aerdynamic concept with that exhaust snorkels didn't prove to be working... That requires a major update if it can ever be fixed properly. This car might a writeoff straight away??

I picked the wrong time to stop boozing in the morning.

I hope Ferrari can resolve their issues with this car.

I still don't know what kind of crack they were smoking when they designed the FF. Just horrible...
