Roy, great car but 1987 is not possible, from 1985 on only QV were produced. First registration in 1987 OK, but not produced :)

Easy to correct. Just slap a "S" on the back, good to go! (Sorry, couldn't resist, lol)

Just to clarify since there has been some talk about "S" cars that happen to be 4-valve Countach - such a thing doesn't exist as an official variant designation.

I have however seen LP5000S QV designation erroneously reported in magazines! You'd think a journalist would know what they are reporting on, but, think again. Unfortunately this leads the uninitiated to receive the written word as gospel and I have in fact been asked to supply an "LP500S QV". I wrote a letter to the factory asking them to make my client one, but, Im still waiting for an answer :)

Aloha from Margaret & I from sunny Hawaii.

Is the front bumper a US bumper that has been shaved to look more european? Never seen one like that before

USA spec fuelie QVs came with the "block" bumpers so what you are seeing is one of the variations of the theme of minimizing the presence of USA DOT-mandated mods. There are a number of cars that have had the front bumper in similar conformation. Additionally there are a couple of USA spec QVs that have had their bodywork taken back to 100% Euro trim and the only way you can tell what variation they are is by looking at the engine cover. They look really good.

At this point when all Countachs are over 21 years old and DOT mandates are essentially meaningless to these cars, Id say they do nothing for the car's value. The clean Eu look will always be more pleasing to look at. Any USA car can be put back to standard production trim.

Well it does nothing for Countach values but its the 1971 "Star Streak Motorhome".

A one-off for terrorizing hapless motorists along the freeways of North America.

    Very neat motorhome.
And yes, I remember when the Forbes car was for sale. Quite a deal. But we have to remember that's when an lp400 was 100k :)
