with 920HP on tap (800 from combustion, 120 from electrons) and a weight of what ... 1200kg or so ... i kinda doubt that it will be slow
I doubt it will weigh 1200 kg if it's going to have a V12, DSG box and some new high-tech equipment. Only speculation, perhaps it's got some sort of second electric engine. My guess is more like 1330-1360 kg. 920 hp? You really think so? Then again, if anyone told me F12 would have 740 hp I would call them crazy... Ferrari is on FIRE!!!
...awfully tough to build a US street-legal road car at such a low weight (1200 kgs) and still meet the DOT safety / crash requirements. I'll be willing to bet that whatever its configuration, it ends up tipping the scales at closer to 3000 lbs (approx. 1365 kgs). Anyone know the curb weight on a US-spec Enzo, by the way ???
well, the recent article from Automobile had a few quotes from Mr. Felisa ... and reported the 800HP + 120HP = 920HP stats. and as far as weight, maybe they won't reach 1200kg ... and we'll have to "settle" for 1300kg either way, the car's going to be insanely quick (even if pure speed isn't the main focus).
Poor choice of words with their recent history...see the FF/458 threads for the most recent examples...
Speed is only part of what makes a car special. If pure speed was what everyone wanted (the customers) no one would buy a Ferrari. Trust me though, this car will be no slouch. It will be a lot quicker than the Enzo.
We gotta get some name predictions going. MY predictions are The Pizza, The Pasta, The Tomato, The Mozzerella. I have it on good authority that it'll be one of these.
Your post is not very clear. You posted an article called "March 6, 2012 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Live Photos: 2012 Geneva Motor Show" that shows a picture of a Lamborghini in a forum about the Enzo's successor and saying "Don't like it". What are you talking about?
The name will be "il Commendatore" Which was his nickname. It will be a monster....considering how the 458 and f12 outrun the Enzo..imagine what this will be....nothing short of epic ....and with a name of il Commendatore ....it's befitting.
It's pretty safe to say that the P4/5 helped develop the Enzo successor. Shouldn't be too far off before a lot of spy photos pop up. This car has been underwraps far better than the Enzo.
They made some big headlines calling their F1 car the F150, why not call the road car the F250? i keed, i keed....
