Wait a second, what has Massa done lately? FA has given the team results in a subpar car unlike Massa. Lets call a spade a spade, ok!
I admit i'm a Massa fan, and that i'm extremely unhappy with the way he's performed since 2010. I'd be the first to admit that he should be booted out if he repeats that sort of performance this season. However, what i urge is patience. What i urge is one final season for him to show what he's capable of. If he doesn't, then it's just too bad for him.
Unfortunately for Massa, he's not just behind Alonso in every session and practice. He's behind him by several places in every session and practice.
Problem is, he is thrashed so badly by Alonso. Let's say Alonso is putting the car 3rd/4th most races and Ferrari has no chance at the WCC and Massa was finishing 6th-8th. That's not good enough, I don't care if we don't have a shot at the titles, Massa needs to pull his weight. Yes, Ferrari has a crappy car but you still have to look at the two driver's performances individually. It's akin to being a slacker at your company because, even though the company makes lots of sales, they have no chance to have the most sales that year. Doesn't mean that you can screw off relative to your co workers and be kept on "because the company as a whole wasn't good enough."
I've been twice to Russia and loved their food, some of the best I ever had. Much more interesting than most places here
I found the women there more tasty than the food, thank God for good Vodka!! Sorry I digressed once again but race strategy will prove relevant so Ferrari should not be disgarded. We all know that the driver has the final "say so" when it comes to a pit stop yet that said strategy is not a WDC/WCC winner without a good car.
As much as I hate to say it without a top line car even the best driver isn't going to succeed. Alonso is among the best. The car... We'll have to see.
Great minds etc. etc. Now about Massa. They tell him (literally) that Alonso is faster and expect him to give it his all. What sense does that make? At this point I don't see a way from him to succeed.
I respect Alonso for his driving skills but I would like nothing more than to see Massa take more podiums, points or wins.
To finally answer the OP: 14th and 17th I think Australia will be a nightmare for Ferrari. Probably reasonably quick in qualifying, wouldn't be surprised if both make Q3 but a complete disaster for a race.
i'm gonna say 3rd and 9th. Alonso will be ahead of course. I don't believe Ferrari are as slow as they say they are.
