I am not sure but what I do know is I am going with the Ferrari F1 Club. Will be above the pits, able to go into the pits, meet the drivers and I am SOOOOO excited, like my first day at school!!
Thank you. Ferrari has made it clear to Phil that as long as Alonso is on board he shouldn't try too hard. That's poison to the competitive soul. At another team he might(!) stand a chance to succeed but at this point no team would have him and his salary.
Actually we know a few facts and they are not very good: - unstable in turns - ate its tires - never did a race sim - drivers criticized it - did aero tests till the end - will have new sidepods for Australia On the bright side things looked very bleak for McLaren a year ago and somehow they recovered quickly.
So if it snows Massa has a chance too? It's all BS until the flag drops There are signs, observations and rumors but no facts yet.
Ferrari cannot just slap on new sidepods and call it good. Under those sidepods is an entire interconnected venting and cooling system they need to rethink. I'd be very surprised if they showed up at Australia with new sidepods.
LDM doesn't give a hoot about the drivers championship. He wants the constructors title. Massa finishing 5 places behind Alonso makes zero sence if you believe what you say. Right behind-- ok. I could buy your therory. But how many times have they finished nose to tail in the last 2 years? Maybe twice? It's rare even in qualifying but it's common at RB and McLaren. Why is that do you think? It couldn't be that the two RB drivers and the two Mac drivers have similar skills while Ferrari drivers don't? No, it must be a conspiracy. It's the only "logical" explanation. Massa is really better than Alonso but must finish 5 places behind him at every race to not show Alonso up. Makes perfect (non) sense. Sorry, Massa has not bben the same since he came back. It's no secret.
Can't deny his post crash performance. I don't think it's possible to motivate an F1 driver to be second best. The difference between a great driver and an also ran at this level is often a matter of mental attitude. At another team he might find the fire.
A season of Schumacher vs Alonso in like-equipment, who wouldn't want Ferrari to be competitive. That's future vintage classics in the making if that were the case this season. I think Ferrari can possibly get there by mid season or just before. I hear the meeting with Luca was half engineers explaining what's going on and half Luca reaming people. Awesome!
