Looking to buy a 355 convertible. Live in South Florida, read HOT in summer. Will the A/C be able to cool the car? Car will be used for fun NOT a daily commute. If not, thoughts on other Ferrari's with good A/C, convertible or not, price range 50K to 80K. Must be stick shift. Thank you in advance

I'm not sure any Ferrari from pre-2000 would be considered to have superb A/C.

My 355 is "adequate" when temperature control. It does the job but sometimes doesn't have the coldest temps out of the vents.

The newer ones may have better A/C systems, but they are probably out of your budget range.

Mine blows cold on a cold day and warm on a hot day. Not the most effective AC. Others I spoken to with 355 have better AC, but still not like one would find on a mainstream vehicle.

According to PO of my 355B (with black interior), it was fine in the Miami heat in summer. When I picked it up it was around 75 or 80 outside and the a/c was ice cold. We'll find out how well it really works this summer.

They have marginal A/C, to say the least.
I live in eastern Texas, and yes, it's VERY hot here in the summer.

Mine would work fairly adequately IF you were moving, otherwise it was pretty useless.

Mine blows cold when it has a fresh recharge, but that lasts about 2 years. Otherwise it is about as good as the windows being down.

Mine blows icey on a fresh recharge also for a couple of years.

I just got my 355 this January so I can't comment about its a/c system. Although years ago in 1999 I spent the day driving a rented 355 around Las Vegas when it was 115 degrees outside, the a/c didn't work worth a pooey. I also discovered that I don't want to visit Vegas in July again.

I live in the tropics where afternoon temps are around 90-95F. On days with no cloud and searing heat, the 355 A/C is just enough whether car is stopped or moving. You do have to put a layer of solar film to cut as much heat as possible.

Whatever it is, it is still heaps better than the 308/328's A/C which is barely working.
