Rodenbach, and certainly the Grand Cru, is indeed a very refreshing sweet/sour beer. Reminds me of a bartender in Austin, TX, can't remember the name of the bar. He served me a Rodenbach and said (he didn't know I'm Belgian) 'I have this beer exclusively brewed for me in Belgium' I almost fell off my stool laughing :D

Just discovered Karmeleit Trippel. What a beer!!! I've never had a Belgiun that had that body and flavor. We were at a Belgiun restaurant here in Florida and discovered they carry a bunch of the small, trappist brews. It has provided an opportunity for me to discover the joys of these brews. Sure a lot better than Chimay and Stella!!!

Whenever I get the chance I will try the Boont beer, I'm curious. In your picture I also notice 'Grolsch' which is one of the few drinkable Dutch beers (unlike Heineken).
And, no offence, and forgive me for being cheeky, but in my country Corona is looked upon as 'yellow water with a vague beer aroma added' :)

You might have a better appreciation for Corona on a sweltering hot and humid day, something I guess you see little of in Belgium.
It's an excellent thirst quencher when chugging an abbey ale will gag you.

Ditto. Corona may as well be called Pee in a Bottle.

Lol, well it's all a matter of taste I guess, and on a sweltering hot and humid day (yes we do have 'em :) ) we don't go for the abbey ale either, Stella Artois would be considered more appropriate.
Corona shows up in this list: http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/TheWorstBeers.asp
Nevertheless many bars in Belgium serve it as well, enjoy it if you like it!

LOL, we do have some names for it 'in that area', but I'm reluctant to talk degrading about horses on a Ferrari forum

Whenever you're at your favorite spot that has a large selection of beer just go down the aisle and try whatever.

    Simple as that.

"Broadway Brewhouse", near Bridgestone Arena in entertainment district of downtown Nashville.

72 or so beers on tap with Happy Hour try-everything discounts. Wander over to Ryman or Bridgestone Arena (BTW, Predators suck).

I flipping love Boont Amber Ale! I got my first taste of it at bar in Sonoma while I was attending a Challenge Race. It's my "go to" beer at the moment, along with New Belgium's Dig.

Today I have tasted 'La Trappe Quadruple'. It's the only (official)Trappist beer which is not made in Belgium, but just across the border, in Holland. It is absolutely sensational!

    It was pretty good.

It's not very summery though, imo. Too much of a hoppy flavor (which I love), but not something I'd reach for after coming in from outside during the summer.

Now Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy is probably the most refreshing beer I've ever had. Beer with lemonade infused. It took some getting use to the taste, but once I started drinking the second one I realized how refreshing it was. But be forewarned, the sugar/sweetness from the lemonade can get to you a little if your sensitive to that. **Not my picture**
