    Good day Night life
I read your paragraph about the Diablo Clutch, we have a 94 SE in our shop right now with the same problem, it is common with the Diablo. We are modifying the Hydraulics and Clutch
mechanism inside the bell housing, it reduces the amount of effort required to press the clutch by approx 30% and increases the life of the clutch and mechanism by approx 50%.
The bearings on the clutch cross shaft inside the bell housing sieze up because there is no facility to grease these on a regular basis. The best time to do this mod is when you have the clutch replaced. This is the second one i have done this year and they are well worth the expense. The customer said his left leg must have been twice the size of his right.
    Cheers

Thank you for the insight, I will consider it in the future as I just had my clutch done replaced with Kevlar. I actually enjoy the heavy clutch especially during spirited driving. As I mentioned I was caught in bumper to bumper traffic, that will not happen ever again lol.

Ed My Man :) it was a pleasure meeting you as well, you have a monster of a car. I enjoyed our exhilarating drive through the Canyons even though you spit rocks at me ha ha ha.

I even enjoyed our little back and forth on the 405, that was fun :D

Looks like we know same people on another forum that you are on, what a small world. I believe he was at race the Base with us in Cold lake.

That is an event you should consider doing, 50,000 spectators, 2 day event with 5 stages including all out top speed run. Come on I know you wanna know how fast that thing can go :D

Ha. Yeah sorry 'bout that. Casualties of close quarter single lane driving:) Don't you have a clear bra on that thing?
You came outta nowhere on the 405. Thought some guy was creeping up on my right side, looked over, and it was you. LOL
You should come on over to the other forum. Just another silly diversion.
I'd love to go to Race the Base....but it means I'd have to go to Canada. Catch 22. haha

Ah, haha. That's why you should've kept the top on that roadster:)
And yes, I thought my car was low, but you're essentially just lying down on the highway!
Don't do too much flirting.....I mean socializing with the female clientele. I'm sure Charlene won't have too much difficulty replacing you.lol

I'm a transplanted East Coaster. I have no desire to see snow again. Pretty sure I wouldn't have an issue leaving Canada;)

Well, finally got to drive the beast again and WOW it was faster than before :):)
The sound it now makes is very distinct plus the turbos whistling makes it sound like a jet is roaring down the street.
The taller gearing makes the 6th gear feel like a 7th gear - highly recommend the gearing!!

Palm Springs to San Diego to Las Vegas and mostly the back roads what a blast, really that's all I can say ;)

the car performed very well and with taller gearing actually better gas mileage lol

    Thanks to:

    Jason and the boys at
    Heffner Performance
    &
    Zahir and Les at
    ZR Auto

Jason really came through on the deadline, if it wasn't for the electrical issues with the car it would have been sooner.

    Now The Next Step

The car is about to have a transformation so am going to be selling some body parts.
Front bumper, wing, and what ever else that has to come off for the big transformation :D:D

    Anyone interested in some parts?

here is a few pics of the drive

GREAT pics, you guys. SOOOOooooooo jealous am I..... driving those cars, WITH those other cars, in THAT kind of weather..... :D !!!!

Can't wait for the nicer weather to come here. Definitely, road trips (note, plural) are in order.

    Plentywood, anyone?? :D :D :D :D ;)

I hear the weather will be nice... say, sometime in May-ish? It would be for the best :D

Sean, you need a new ride, ASAP.

LOL - I love the look of that wing, for sure, Roberto, but no can do this summer.... I think the additional drag associated with another wing on the car might just slow me down. WAIT. I GET IT...... this is just a cunning ploy, to slow my car down for RtB!!!!!!

    I'm onto you, Roberto...... :D

Hey guys. There is a 2011 458 on Cranky Ape. I thought about it but it will go too high for me. Did a rough calculation and probably 35G to 40G in parts will fix it plus paint and labor. Its a salvage car but it would be a fun driver. Only 2500 miles on it. Its in Minnesota too so its close. Here is the link.

Hmmmm looks very interesting, most of that repair is cosmetic any decent shop should be able to fix that for under $35k.

Reserve not met yet I bet it's at least $150k to $170k for reserve.

Wow. Gorgeous car - I actually like the colour, and love the interior, with the contrast stitching.

Begs the question, though, if all the damage was only cosmetic, why didn't they just fix it, instead of labelling it as "salvage"? Am I missing something, here?

I agree, Roberto - reserve must be pretty high, but it might be a good way to pick up a great driver.

    GROUP TRACK CAR, WHO'S IN???!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Trust me i already did some research on this and have a basic list of parts and prices and a rough quote to do the paint and body work. Unless you can find a donor car the parts alone will be 35 to 40 g minimum and thats just replacing what you can see from pics. I would guarantee another another 10 to 15 g in misc crap and sensors etc. The entire car needs a repaint. Now if you wanted to just do it as a track car that would be different. Fix the panels with bondo etc and do a wrap and fix the suspension, send the rim to Gord for repair and you could probably have it track ready for 10 to 15 g. Would be a blast for sure. Lol.
