I learned today that my 430 will be here Saturday night or early Sunday. I lam wired better than Red Bulls and cannot sleep. So as I'm thinking about her arriving, I started to ask myself "What will I do first?"

I've already bought a load of new detailing and washing products so that is checked off the list. Also, the garage has been organized with over 70' of shelving added and I think I've swept the floor every night this week!

Right now, I'm thinking my first purchase may be the Capristo exhaust header bolts. At $550, they are not cheap, but I'm quickly learning that may be the cheapest part I buy for her!

So my question to all of you is what is the best purchase you've made for your Fcar? Let's divide it into two categories with the first being small (under $1,000) and the second being larger (ex. new exhaust).

Can't wait to hear everyone's answers...

Replaced sound system would be my 1st. The floormats though, HUGE improvement. Get nice floormats.

I love the stock exhaust. Sounds great. I like to drive my car way to much to make it louder. I did that on the 360, and it got annoying.

Where did both of you find your new floor mats?

Any particular sites to check out?

Get yourself a decent set of paddles (assuming you have an F1). I bought Carbonio paddles for my 360 ... a very good purchase.

Clear armor in the front and the ipod adaptor, both under 1K and both removable to return the car a completely original condition.

Well, only relevant to 360 not F430, but the CS TCU was probably the best upgrade to my 360 IMO. The best cheap mod is to get some simple steel wool and rub off all the paint on the 360's key, was free since someone gave me the steel wool :) Pics: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141190549&postcount=43 . The yellow tach is another good cheap mod I'll do next (well cheap if you call a yellow insert for $150 cheap with DIY labor). Fortunately all the carbon bits and exhaust were installed on someone elses dime. I did get F430 wheels, but had oem 360 wheels and gloss black Vossens (still for sale) to help cover some of the wheel switch price so that was nice.

Congrats btw. I know it will be hard to sleep!

I agree with the CF and yellow tach!

Lucky for me the car already has CF paddles, steering wheel and vents. Also has the CF challenge rear grill along with the yellow tach. Oh, and has the I-Pod dock.

Any suggestions for the garage to help keep it beautiful?

Also forgot to mention I had brand new clear armor installed with the purchase as well as a fresh annual.

#1) For the money; The Capristo wireless exhaust valve controller ~$650 or so. Install was like an hour with a gooseneck camera handy to avoid disassembly of the rear. *You can see the tiny wireless remote in the carbon cupholder image. Maybe I could program it into the homelink, have not tried.

This way I can be quiet or loud!

#2) Homelink, installed in rear pocket and hard wired. This takes care of the garage door and privacy gate with no little clickers cluttering up the car. Installed in 2 hours including making a panel and covering with pleather. I bought some matching dye from leatherique but have not matched it yet. Its close in color already.

Homelink module used off of ebay for $30
Leatherique Dye: I forget, maybe $30-40

#3) LED strips for the Angel Eye update. Do some searches on this forum. Several write ups including one from my install. ~$100 or so, its in the write up. Looks very good and more modern.

#4) Carbon cup holder : Ricambi version : Price $reasonable

Here are some pics... *Please note how my Rossa Scuderia can look Corsa in sequential photos from the same camera.

For my 360: Best mod under 1k, that's tough as they were all over, best in that ballpark would be the cd/satnav player.
Best overall were the challenge wheels, totally updates and changes the look of the car.

Depends if we are talking wants or needs.

    Needs:
First would have to be clear bra. Hands down best investment ever

Next would be V1. I drive like I'm on a mission from God and my V1 has literally saved me more trouble than I can EVER describe. 3 years of fcar ownership, not a single ticket.

    Wants:
Capristo wireless exhaust valve controller. Stock exhaust sounds great. I don't see any reason to spend thousands on a new one. Just open the valves when you want to party and close them when you go to church! :)

Chrome tips for the exhaust. Factory ones look like burnt beer cans. Nasty

+1 on the chrome exhaust tips. Ricambi has the best deal there.

2nd would be the capris to exhaust brackets, for peace of mind's sake

Best purchase was the garage for the Fcar.

Bot in 2002 for $50k. Selling now for $150k.

    The F355 F1 GTS and 360 F1 Spider sank like a rock.

The Fcars brought me much more pleasure. Much.

Trent: Love the angel eye DIY! Don't know how I missed it. Definitely bookmarked now and it'll be my first project when I get my scud. Hopefully sooner rather than later. . . . .

Love the HomeLink mod. FYI, you can get one here: http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=18462#tabsanchor (I was curious and found this; I have no affiliation with the seller.)

I would LOVE a lift! Just not enough room in the current house. It's definately in the plans for the new place though.

The headlights and homelink are great ideas! I'll have to add them to my growing "to-do" list :)
