HAHA! I wish. I have gotten each DLC for free so I shouldn't complain. Just read the news, glorious day for car fans. Gran Turis....what?
An open world like Test Drive Unlimited 2, that has car clubs, combined with the sounds and visual treatment from Forza Motorsport 4=The best driving game ever.
One thing I always hoped for in Forza was the ability to group your cars in garages like you can in TDU2. Having the ability to walk around your car collections and view them Autovista style in a detailed garage space would be epic. The detailed liveries the community creates would make that such a pleasure. I'm sure it will take the power of a next gen xbox to fully implement this feature but it sounds like Forza Horizon is heading in that direction.
Game looks and sounds incredible, but sorry something is seriously wrong with the game's physics if you take the crest of Schwedenkruez at 155mph+ and don't end up in the woods, on fire. This kind of speed into this corner is simply not survivable in anything but an F1 car. http://youtu.be/xBKMaeCCSUY?t=2m21s I would typically crest the bump at around 100mph in the low powered, skinny tires cars I've lapped the NS with. Really fast guys in serious machines might brake from 150 to 110-120 over the crest. Good comments on this turn in an article on the 599GTO http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews/driven/1012_ferrari_599gto_vs_porsche_911_gt2_rs/viewall.html
It would be cool to treat the clubs like real car clubs. Like go on canyon runs together and park and show off at Cars and Coffee. But why not just integrate both games together?
Part of the charm of the game is being able to mod the crap out of cars. You can shoehorn a V12 from the Enzo then Twin Turbo it. The video's you see online with Forza games are rarely stock cars. No video game/simulator can recreate RL perfectly.
I'd think LMP cars could carry speed through the corner also, but point taken. Other games have not been as forgiving with Schwedenkruez as Forza 4, but it makes it fun. On your point though, we lost a pair of F-chatters at Schwedenkruez, so your words ring true.
I was living in Germany, and hadn't yet even heard of F-Chat, at the time of the terrible 360 crash. Very sad. This video was shot during my 3rd or 4th trip in 2003. At ~1:58 in the video you can *almost* see my friend do a 720 through Schwedenkruez. The woman riding in my car dropped the cam down when I yelled out "NOOOOO!" and only lifted it up again when we were going past the cloud of dirt. I was in an Opel Speedster following him in an Elise and another friend in an S2000. It was the Elise driver's 4th lap ever, and he was insanely cocky holding off the S2000 (that would be Ben, who the camera woman called a "****" for trying to overtake) only to hit the SX bump at the wrong angle, and too fast. Minor miracle that the car stayed on the track for 3/4 of his 720 spin.... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2221257423351405110 I'm sure the 'driver's assistance' was also ratcheted way up, judging by how he could drop wheels off into the grass and/or curbs at very high speeds and not crash. The usefulness of "learning" the Ring on a game like this, in a car like the Stradale, is questionable. But I'd still love to give it a try
Anybody know what is the time to beat for the Rivals Regatta contest? The prize is a custom 599xx...which I do NOT have in my stable currently (but want badly). I think my drag time is 19.38 secs, but I'd LOVE to know how Speedcore got his '69 Camaro to S-class and a 17 sec drag within restrictions.
I read that Timberwolfs time was 16.617 . I've been able to get the 70 Challenger in the 17's and the 69 Camaro down into the 16.29X range. You really just have to mess with the settings, gearing, wheels, etc and get a good launch.
Is your car by any chance in the F-Chat shared garage (I don't know if we can use those cars for Rivals challenges though).
LP 640 is up for grabs for the months community monthly challange, all you have to do is tame the ZR1
The main restriction is weight based(1634kg I think) so I added the heavy DUB rims and got rid of all the light stuff. Added the rollcage etc. Still running TT setup. 1st attempt in the 17's

Nice one thanks Also can I get an invite to the FC club? The club I'm with no one actively plays anymore :\
I sent a request to join the club, just waiting for the team leader to respond but if want to send it again it's ELITECORE11
I'm really looking forward to the Porsche pack, but I have one request. Can we PLEASE get a normal plain old Carrera? Is it too much to ask to get a new 911 without Turbo, GT2, GT3, RS etc etc etc attached?
I sent you a friend request. It'd be great if you could gift me a tuning setup for the 69 camaro. I can only hit a 16:48x and I'm not sure if thats enough. EDIT: I guess 16:4 is good since his is 16:6xx. I also don't have the power to invite you.
I just did that 16.3 like 1min before you sent that friend request! I didn't save the setup and lost all my gear ratios I just followed the guide above Scott85 posted. Changed my front rims to stock and changed the 1st gear to 1.80~ and adjusted the other 2 gears. so I hit the line in 3rd gear
