hahahahaha lol YES! come on, read into that ...1 million is the equivilant to saying I do not/ will not sell.
I am basing my thoughts on what I have seen cars sell for. And Jollygood, I do not think I am upping the market when we're at 20k difference. It's a fact that these sell for 100k-126k. Has an Anni sold for 95k or less?
For a mint , up to date, even FI with new tires, fresh interior and great paint all original, I would go to $125K-$135K if you get all records and still have a good deal. IMO a low miles , 1 owner is worth something. If the car runs ok but no records, tired interior and some work to come this way, $100K+. The anniv are the best value (and I dont own one) for those who want to drive them. At 4,400Kms you still can load up 10,000kms and have a fairly new car. Overall I feel a great anniv is well worth the $125K range and still be a good deal.
yes Keir car is a 1989. There were handful of non anniv made that years. there are 88.5 looking but made right before the annivs. I actually was not sure if Keir blue car was the LAST vin of that 89 series. From What i got on this board and Keir's posts it appears it is. That would make it the last QV made. I beleive 16 1989 were made? i dont know whyt it is so hard to nail this info for good...
Well, IMO, that probably upped the "value" 5-10 right there, as it is still a "deal" for an out of US buyer, as per Emilio's suggested values in Europe. And don't forget dealer premium. I think, then, we're not too far off.
Have wondered about this as well, shouldn't be hard at all... So this reminds me about the registry. How is it these days? Any solid info there maybe?
Coincidently I was on the registry this morning, not have been in 6-10 months. It's very disappointing, very sad to see it has not been throughly updated in years. Really thought when Glenn started to charge it would be keeped up. Nothing changed AND it automatically charges for renewal! I would love to pay 35 if it as kept up. He seriously need to ask for help in maintaining it.
We discussed this previously. It is important to note to all that these "1989" cars you refer to were all built in 1988, prior to the commencement of Annivesario in the summer of 1988.
Yes, I recall much discussion about the work required and therefore some compensation must be issued. We all agreed, paid the fee and then not much has happened. I have two cars that are still not updated and about 3 more changes since then. It's too bad really.
There 3 cars I am aware of made after this time period: 1 to Wales, 1 to South Africa and 1 to Brunei. There might possibly be more!
thanks to those that chimed in on the Anni car. Goes to ppi next Friday. I will keep the fingers crossed, then spill the beans.
I see they had it advertised for $80,300.00. Still for sale, different price. http://www.musclecars.net/classifieds/Lamborghini-Countach-STUNNING-Low-mile-25TH-Anniversary-Countach-COLLECTOR-For-Sale_250869723263.html
Are you just here to piss on everyone's Parade today or what..get up on the wrong side of the bed..? I mean we all expect this from me...but not from you LOL
Sorry about that, I just believed we were discussing Countach prices/values. I wish you the best of luck getting the right car.
Yes Bjoern, generally speaking, Annivesarios supplied to Wales, South Africa or Brunei by the works are Downdraft RHD cars.
The car was not knowingly advertised for $80,300.00 and that number has no bearing on either the car's value or asking price. That number was erroneously inserted there by the person who posted his Ad and it came off the opening bid when the car was on Ebay. To suggest that this car could be had at any point at this number is to blatantly mislead the entire community. The seller had initially wanted in excess of $120,000, then reduced to $119,000 and has now accepted a deal (no deposit in place) at $113,000 US. Inspection scheduled next Friday. How do I know all this? Because the Countach world is amazingly small and there are few secrets. I happen to know Ken the seller, and have ongoing business with him that is unrelated to this car. I am aware in fact that this Annivesario is the ex-M. Bob Cann (Ferrari collector F40, Enzo) car. It was serviced in 2002 & 2009. DYH = Do Your Homework. FWIW I have zero affiliation or interest in this car.
