Most recent SL transacted at $500k thereabouts. End 07 car with less than 20k km mileage. Friend's dad bought it just earlier this month.
Well, it was immensely successful on their debut season. Albeit with a little extra carbon fibre helping.
End buyer price. Yours was going to a dealer so... Yeah....but market is real slow for exotics, not necessarily just for lambos. Look at the number of Ferrari, Lambo, Porsches, Bentley, Astons, etc. on the market....many are not moving. Definitely buyer's market...pick and choose. That SL in question was in the market for quite a while but seller's patience paid off in this case I guess.
explains why he goes to Keith! his GTR must be pretty quick too. damn, its good to know the car is done and is ready to rock and roll !!!! You have a PM
the biggest question wld be reliability ... they do build fast cars ... but for straight line speed ... and their reliability is questionable (as i've experienced 1st hand in the past). coupled with our considerably higher ambient temperatures, i would give it a miss ... simply put, can the monster gallardo do, say, 25 laps at sepang without breaking down? i doubt it. i'd be extremely surprised if it could.
Yes Reliability is a big question and temperature. One of my race engines was built by the UK guys and temperature was an issue and they factored it in. Tuning does matter too. I think Harold or the owner who you might know would be able to share with you more on the set up. For 20-30 laps in sprang, in my experience a civic FDR 2 would just keep on going and going with no over heating issues and just come in for fuelling or if we lose it I guess this would be good for time attack at Sepang and if they can get the power down, it should be able to hit below 2.20s. My friends track turbo lotus with air shift is aiming at 2.15s. End of the month
