Alonso can pull out a one lap miracle but there is no way that "Clifford" will finish in the points. Seriously compromised piece of dog turd that car is. There is a reason no other team has pullrod front suspension, and even a 5 year old car work out why. While sacking people is childish, somebody has to loose their designing license and just go. Pete
For me I just hate the fact all this green **** is on the cars. KERS and then to all electric in the pits. Give us back the cars with no limits. HRT and Virgin can't compete anyway so what the hell is the difference?
Why are HRT and Virgin so pathetic? Even the "new" Lotus and Cateham can make a fast car. Virgin and HRT should be told to f off as they are an embarrassment to the sport. Pete
So, atmosphere 'round here is "pessimo" (very bad). Word on the street is that there is no team spirit whatsoever, just a group of empoyees working on the same car and being commanded to go in to work 7 days whether they need to or not. Apparently LDM showed up a few weeks ago arm waving and table banging. Now this is not unusual, happens all the time. The difference is that in the Todt/Brawn/Schumi days those guys would absorb the rant and act as a 'buffer' between LDM & the people actually doing the work. They would then actually make a decision on what to do and execute relentlessly on that decision. They would take accountability for performance and failure. Typical leadership elements which according to the people I've been chatting to are missing at the moment. Apparently the outcome of the latest rant from LdM is that people have been instructed to go in to work, even if they don't need to (because it looks good), there seems to be nobody with the guts to take a decision so dozens of different alternatives are being worked on for any given issue, scatter gun style. People certainly seem to have their heads down. F has the talent and facilities to win, what seems to be missing right now is the leadership and consequent team spirit. I'm a firm believer that results reflect the team spirit, and I am now completely convinced from what I see & hear that the teams results are a result of zero team spirit due to lack of leadership. Final peice of gossip from these parts is that Briatore has 'been seen' and there is some speculation that Briatore will take over from Dom. I take that particular comment with a pinch of salt, but I suppose anything is possible with current situation.
Bring Favio to the team, and let's see what happens. Guarantee there won't be any more pull rod suspensions.
I heard that one last summer and it didn't happen. But with the current turd (the car that is) this might be just what breaks the camel's back. I'd love to see Flav back in F1 and in control of my fav team. Dumbenicali should have been sent packing long time ago.
Yeah, maybe Flav can get Massa to drive into the wall and give Alonso the chance of a decent result! (Sorry, but for Me, the fat, sweaty, Italian Lothario can stay away from the Scuderia! They gets themselves into enough controversies as it is!)
Exactly...the "driver developing a car" thing needs to be thrown out the window. There is no testing and the drivers simply have to make do with whatever the aerodynamicists think looks good from CFD and wind tunnel testing... I'm sure if Alonso could be out there pounding out laps at Fiorano he would be. I know people on here love to criticize Alonso because they blindly hate him but to say he is the issue with Ferrari is beyond laughable. He is the only person that can potenially save this train wreck.
The worrying part is that no one seems to know what is wrong with the car, is it mechanical or aero or both. Agree on the leadership, the technical department seems to be in a mess, with random developments - something Pat Fry needs to get under control (although since he joined it seems the trend has been downwards). You have to say that based on results since 2008, the only reasonable car was the 2010 car. The F60 was a dud, last years car was a dud and it's looking like this years is probably amongst the very worst in Ferrari history!
I beg to differ...its the exact opposite. Because of the lack of testing, the driver feedback is even more important than ever before.
How can they give feedback when they cannot drive the car. The only driving they do is in the simulator. Pete
Massa might as well warm up the lube. At this rate he's not going to find a seat next season. Maybe IndyCar?

ROFL Sadly Massa has gotten so bad lately that he no longer needs rain to spin or crash. He can now do it on a perfectly dry surface.
I was East bound and down loaded up and trucking when the race was on but THANK GOD nobody has mentioned the winner or too much detail, the race is on again at about 1pm Central so I gotta find me a tape!!!!!
I know!! Walking on the wild side is not cohesive when "I can't hear you, la la la (fingers in ears)" is a less dangerous path.
