Insurance back on ... I'll be there
my four wheel friends, sadly I will miss another meet. Tge duc needs an oil change and brake fluid change maybe next week. Have fun guys
Saw a Lamborghini Gallardo in Vernon Friday night 9:30ish...anyone know who??? Charles, do you keep in touch with your neighbor with the exotic?
Pete: I haven't seen him in years, my suspicion is that he moved some time ago. The car was black, either 500s or 5000s, saw it several times when I first moved here in '94 and I remember reading the number on the back of the thing while driving home. Back then I wasn't so interested, now I'd love to know more about it. I'll ask one of my other neighbors and see if she recalls anything. Charles ps: I'm pretty sure the lady who keeps a pig in her basement across the street from the Lambo owner is still there... in the spring everyone's lawn is turning green and her place looks like a mud patch because there's a pig rooting around the front yard. Strange town I live in.
Charles, fifty bucks for ya if you mount that little pink stallion bare back and take'er-round the front yard couple times...has to be caught on video though.LMAO
Oh man, that is just wrong! I'm sure there are a lot of the locals who would do it for $50, they could buy more teeth with the money. BTW, I think the lady with the pig is a hoarder too -- lotsa junk lying about the yard that the pig apparently found unpalatable. I'm almost certain that car was a 5000S... haven't seen it in a long time though. Must make an appearance in the office shortly. Seriously thinking of taking a couple of days off this week to get the Mondial all sorted out. Charles
Brendon: It's a reference to the lady who lives down the street from me who keeps an enormous pig at her house. It lives in the basement in the winter and roots around the yard in the summer. One of my other neighbors said that the lady throws milk cartons down the basement stairs and the pig then chomps them up. It was discussed yesterday. Across the street from the lady with the pig was a black Countach 5000s, though I think it is long gone. AFAIK, the pig remains. Yeah, without the back story it sounds just a bit bizarre Charles
I'm quite sure the paste eaters on the short bus would love to go on a field trip next door for piggy rides and I'm sure a Walmart gift card for the owner would pave the way.
Yea..No Bare A$$ would make the evening news. There is a certain humor to that though, if ones stomach is strong enough. Charles...Put me down for 1. I'll bring some snacks. A super size bottle of Elmers glue-all and some glitter. (Crap...Still giggling like I was yesterday)
Put down the porn. I'm sure your wives would just love to hear stories of you riding them bareback. You guys need to watch a few more Westerns. Mounting Trigger bareback and from behind was performed often but would give Roy Rogers a hole new image. (although those paisley shirts may have given him away already)
+1....I had to double check, thought I was browsing the 'backroom lounge' sub-forum for a second there... Getting back on track, enjoy the great driving weather!!!
My wife and I went to O'Rourk's Diner in Middletown today... Featured on Diner's Drive-ins and Dives. Good stuff, if a little on the pricy side for "gourmet diner" food. Maybe a place to go for lunch after Gbury? It would be a nice ride down 17 and 17a.
Yeah, I'm still chuckling to myself about the "short bus". Actually found this -- owned by a campground in Nova Scotia. Me want, Me want! http://www.flickr.com/photos/arboghast/5430423120/ (Provided a link out of respect to copyright) Eric... looks like a fun place and the presentation on their web page sure looks nice. Only concern would be parking. It looks like there are three parallel spaces out front, four diagonal spaces next door, and a parking lot which may be accessible from an alley between neighboring buildings. (If it's not off-limits) The reason I mention this is that some of us want to keep their cars within view while dining -- not a concern for mine so much but there are a few others that are 10x in value and spaceships parked out front will draw a crowd. Still, if it will work for others I'm game. Another couple of places that come to mind for me: Adams Mill in Manchester has a big parking lot well removed from the street with excellent visibility. Entirely good, though not stellar food, but the prices are not gourmet scale either. Bella's Bistro in Putnam CT is a blast... out towards Pomfret, ridiculous portions of great food, not cheap for dinner, but it's a premium product. Bella's is in a charming downtown district full of antiques shops/malls, right near a municipal parking lot. No need to worry too much in that town and RT44 is a sweet ride. Parked the F-car there before, the locals could care less about it. There are a few country inns about the landscape that offer reasonable Sunday brunch. I always like sucking down a bourbon manhattan with breakfast at the Grizwold in Essex, I think the Avon Old Farms Inn still serves brunch at the foot of Talcott Mtn in RT44. Anything further up the CT river valley? Charles
