If you call competitive being beaten in the majority of laps, then I suppose you're right...

Very interesting race, Alonso really drove like a champion yesterday, considering the car and his utterly useless teammate. Perez the same, great drive from the little Mexican and I have no doubt he could have taken Alonso if he didn't make the one mistake.

Apparently it was near impossible to overtake, as MSC said. I'll take his word for it, Vettel and Button also had huge trouble trying to overtake anyone.

I have no idea why Ferrari pay Massa almost 1mio euro a race. He did ok in qualifying but the race was shameful.

What happened to Rosberg as well? that's 2 races in a row now.

Raikkonen did fantastic again, Grosjean seemingly doing the same as he did in 2009...just qualifying better.

MSC so much bad luck. I reckon the first normal race will be Bahrain (IF it's on). China is normally monsoon weather.

****ing awesome pic. I'm so proud of the team as a whole. Flawless strategy, perfect pit stops...well done by all involved. There's hope for this year boys, I'm telling you...

For once the team did an excellent joh. Alsonso drove masterfully and yet again showed how good he is under pressure. Ferrari have no right to have scored so well at this point in the championship given the hopelessness of the car. Now they have a few weeks to try and get on top of the cars performance issues. Would be great if they pull it off- but I'm not yet willing to bet any cash on it.

+1. Upgrades are coming but I fear Clifford will still trail the top dogs. Fred has to go it alone seeing as massa has completely lost the plot IMHO.

I wouldn't either. The car is fundamentally flawed. As soon as the race started to dry out, Perez was lapping considerably faster than Alonso. I'm sure Perez is a phenominal driver, but he shouldn't be blowing away Alonso's lap times consistently.

I'm a little ashamed to admit that I was rooting for Perez when he was running down Alonso. I don't want to see the red cars get beat, but I like to see smaller teams do well.

I'll go through the thread more thoroughly later but was anyone else hoping Perez would be a surprise winner? Was within .5 second until he made that mistake but I was just as happy for him as I was for Ferrari.

Did anyone else see on Facebook that Ferrari gave Alonso an FF after yesterday's win?

    Only if it's wet!......

Problem then would be he'd probably fall off the road before reaching the town limits.

    ;)

    Cheers,
