In general, The Philippines is a poor country, and many families sleep together on the sidewalks. Charities such as UNICEF are doing wonders there. I'm grateful to Lewis Hamilton for taking time to fly over and call attention to the needs of this small country. Filipinos are good people, and LH was very kind to go out of his way for the charitable needs of so many when he could have spent time partying, etc. Salamat, Lewis!

So true. I saw this on another forum and I believe it had a distinct impression on LH. It would on most of us Im sure. Nice to see. I wonder if mum is working to expand his horizons in some way. Nice to see his family with him at races.

A good gesture on Lewis's part.
Even if it was done as a part of a PR effort to resurrect his image it helped the kids, UNICEF and the sport.
Let's hope we see more drivers doing similar.
    Thanks Lewis.

Great to hear stories like this, thank you Steve for posting it. I have always felt Lewis is a very nice young man and a terrific driver.

It´s good to see LH involved in charity, especially with children. Regardless of improving his image, he has a lot to benefit from being more down to earth and surround himself with normal people as opposed to his mgmt firm and silly girlfriend. And maybe he is legit in this dealings.
