It would have been a lot more believable if they had picked an available driver like e.g. Sutil.

Button has a realistic chance at the title, so why on earth would he give that up right now?

    :D

The *disadvantage* of allowing 30 minutes (?) to edit a post....... ;)

I was going to post a "check the date" response, but was kinda hoping folk that "got it" may encourage more tom-foolery before coming clean........

Heard about the new full size Ferrari SUV? Just launched in general ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

There'd be no bigger fool than Button, to do that right now.

Speaking of Aprils fools - Does anyone remember the fake F1 report Autosport did *many* years back?

Something like "The GP of the Caribbean" - One of the problems was no single island was big enough, so they built a pontoon bridge between two - JYS (IIRC) was quoted as saying "you've gotta time your qualy run just right as otherwise the tide moves the bridge and turns it into a pretty fast sweeper that gets pretty hairy when wet". :)eek:) EDIT; "Furthermore, depending on the time of day, the bridge sometimes goes left and at others right - You've really gotta pay attention!".......

They had a circuit diagram, practice times/lap charts, the whole 9 yards. Again, IIRC, the premise was "they" wanted to do a "private" F1 race (it wasn't a championship round) just for fun like in the old days and didn't want to be bothered by fans etc.......

*Hundreds* of people fell for it and their mailbox was inundated with folk complaining that they'd never heard about it and WTF was Autosport thinking not promoting it ahead of time - They were apologizing for *weeks*!

    :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Button would be happy if he really looked like this.

    Not fooled....

Why would Button ever leave the great situation he has?

Now, Massa out/Perez in would have got me going!

    :)

I would have used that one, but then I couldn't have linked to the article to make it look official. :).

A better April Fools prank, would have been Marenello coming out with a news flash, stating Ferrari had finally resolved all their issues with the new car and look to challenge for the constructors.
