Let's not clutter up the rest of the forum with our random dribble. Here's a thread for fans of the Cardinals, both local to StL and ex-patriot.

Should I just send you the portrait of Alexander Hamilton now, or do we need to actually wait until October?

Funny you should say that. I was just trying to explain NH versus perfect game to my son. I'm not sure he quite understands the concept. I'm not counting on a no hitter, but it sure would be cool.

It was nice while it lasted. As long as we get the W...I don't care how it comes, :)

A couple years ago was great - 3* Perfect games, a few more no hitters, let's hope it's another year of the pitcher led by Lohse, Wainwright and hopefully Carp, :)

And that's a winner! Nice job by Matheny and crew. ESPN showed Tony was at the game - he must be ready to throw on a uniform and jump into the game - haha. Matheny only has 12,000+ more pitching changes to go til he catches the record held by him!

nice win! great performance by Lohse, nice to see Matheny isn't a total moron, and some decent offense.

which was more of an adjustment, Pujols not being at first or LaRussa not standing in the dugout?

By far Tony. Not seeing him, Duncan, or Dave McKay at first is still a shocker...change can be good, but Matheny HAS TO WIN. Period, end of discussion. If Matheny doesn't produce, I wouldn't be surprised if he and Mozeilak are both gone at the end of the season. But, good start, Matheny handled the game well, but I still think Oquendo should be at the helm, or Terry Francona/Joe Maddon.

every game the Cards have until May 6th is a division game.

that's ridiculous, who did this schedule?

IIRC, it used to be a husband and wife that made the schedule, but MLB took it away from them a few years back and either outsourced it to another company or do it in house, can't remember, but I agree, I can't wait to see how bad next years schedule looks with interleague play every week,

IIRC one of the consulting companies (Deloitte?) was doing it for a while.

and yeah, inter-league sucks as it is, every week will be idiotic.

But Bud Selig likes it, and everyone knows Bud is the best commissioner MLB has ever had, he's never made a mistake with anything! (catch the sarcasm there? :))

Why, someone who wishes the other teams in the division to suffer mercilessly, of course.
