4453SA had a scoop at this point, could this be 4619SA?
probably not, too many holes in the nose ( lights and round vents on either side of grille opening )... inconsistant with recent look and history of not being raced

It could be Pipers old car, the rebodied GTO. I'm not sure.
This is the original body.

I never knew that but it makes sense since the cars first appearance was at LM63 with that unique body.

I did not say "it could be Pipers old car, the rebodied GTO. I'm not sure."

I hit the wrong button. 4713 GT has it's original body and I just "baby-sat" the car at Amelia Island two weeks ago. For further information get the April issue of Road & Track.

Yes! A rare photo. #0666 did not start because an engine failure during practice. So, #0684 started with n°8.

What a wonderful picture. It does capture some of what real big time racing was in those days. Thanks much. just one man's opinion tongascrew

This is 212 0086E. Never driven by Jim Kimberly. Do you have a higher resolution of these rare photos to post? This is 0086E with Jim Flynn at Watkins Glen 1961. Copyright unknown.

I have only small prints. Bill said he's rummaging around for slides he has somewhere, but that won't help with these photos. I'll ask if there's any chance he has the negatives. I can try to post a better reproduction. I find downloading attachments to be painfully slow. Am I doing something wrong?
I can also e-mail copies if that would be better.
