    Yup... I remember one year when I was little, we got hit by a truck in the rear. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but with that rear hatch setup, it was all Mom could think about... "How do we get THAT fixed??" The car lived on in town after we sold it. Word is eventually someone bought the engine and the rest of the car finally got scrapped. Years later, I tend to wonder just what engine it had!

    Supposedly legally imported M5 Wagon, NICE. (no affiliation)

    This 1992 BMW M5 Touring 3.8L (VIN WBSHJ91040BL01399) was purchased in Germany in 2001 by the seller and imported to the USA in 2004. He says it was federalized at great expense by JK Technologies of Baltimore, Maryland and now has 106601 kilometers (~67k miles). This is one of 891 factory M5 Touring wagons built, and they were never officially imported to the USA. This one is now available in Naples, Florida for $22k.
