I think the moral of this story is, if you're dealing with Dan, you gotta know your Schmidt.

Be prepared for Schmitty service. The car is quite possibly a piece of Schmitt knowing their history. Those guys don't know Schmitt about how to properly sell cars.

Folks I'm here all weekend, don't forget to tip the wait staff, :D

By requiring buyers to give feedback before they receive the car. Be afraid..very very afraid.

Reese, looks like a good car but I would for sure cover your ass. I have heard o them keeping deposits that they said they would not once a buyer backed out. Tool kits missing things, just a bunch of horror stories. that said I don't know how a company could still be open if every story was like that. Remember a lot of times people are faster to talk about bad expireances than good ones.

Would be the perfect car for you the mrs. will and the twins!

Well Schmidt! I wish things had changed over there so I am crossing it off the list. Thanks for the feedback.

What if this is THE best Mondial on the market? Smart money says
buy the best example available after due diligence. I don't know D Schmidt
but I am aware of his business. That's due diligence, too.
I'd really enjoy hearing the genuine story of this car.

I spoke to them over two years ago when I was a Jag nut and buying old jags; they had a nice looking red 1991 XJS,with only 21K miles, the old V12, so you know that needs a compression and leak down...The old man told me I would "not be welcome to send anyone down for a PPI, they had an impeccable reputation and I was insulting them....." then he hung up on me. At the time I had the time and money and I was ready to go down there for the hell of it and jerk his chain for a day or two as if I was buying the car, that cannot be the ONLY best car left for you, look elsewhere, all those posts cannot be wrong; cannot believe the State Attorney General has not put them out of business, dog

Reese, looks like it has had some paint work, did you notice the overspray on the VIN tag? Not a usually good sign when the door sill has been painted. It does look like a nice car.

Why even bother with a Mondial in the first place? Not trying to be a jerk but I don't see Schmidt in those cars.
