It's a real photo made by combining a series of quickly shot photo's with varying exposures....
I had meant to ask what were we looking at specifically, rather than to have asked what was the subject matter of the picture we were looking at. I shall try to be clearer next time It's a really neat effect. Nice to know not just simply computer generated either.
Wow.. the HDR pic is Stunning.. not sure if I'm more excited about this or 002.. (or the P4/5's.) If I might ask, what shade is the paint? Thanks Parker

Welcome on Fchat, Daniele. Can you tell us more about the #0850 parts? Here is the #0850 thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176081&highlight=%230850
Very interesting. Why wasn't the original tail used? Why did they make a new one just to change the color? We're new doors made as well? Best
Daniele, Le foto sono molto interessante, veramente incredibile che i pezzi sono lasciati cosi dopo restauro della macchina. Solo mio opinione, forse a meglio inizziare una discuzzione separate, o incompare nella discuzzione su 0850? CS, Jack.
Sure I like the Italian language but some of us can't read it properly. Is it possible to keep this thread in English? Thank you very kindly!
I would rather have someone post in Italian than not at all, Wouter. You can use internet translators if you need them. And BTW - as a diehard Ferrarifan you should be studying Italian! Benvenuto sul questo forum, Daniele. È molto interessante, tue foto e informazioni. Confermato il consiglio di Jack, per una discussione separata per 0850. Onno

Very late to this wonderful thread. Started reading it last night and just finished it. Fabulous. Many thanks to all for sharing your information and pictures, especially to Jim. How many road miles will a P3/4, P4 or a 412P do before needing a rebuild?
We've put 40K road miles on our MK-IV and Lola and with proper maintenance our 412P and P 3/4 shouldn't have any major issues doing the same.
Thank you, Jim. Oh to do 40000 miles in a 412P and P 3/4. I'm sure you'll love every one of them. The great thing about you is that you will share them with us.
http://www.talacrest.com/ferrari-competition.asp Out of interest which P3/4 are Talacrest referring to as a 2011 deal? There is only one? 0846 ....and it belongs to Jim.
They claim that they were involved in the sale of 0844 "2011 competition car deals include a P3/4" which is a 330 Can Am with a 412P body not a P 3/4. 0846 is the only P 3/4. I'm not sure that that 0844 has changed ownership. They are also claiming that they are "negotiating on a P4" which is no longer a P4 but a 350 Can Am (0858) if Ferrari is to be believed. Fitting a replica P4 body to a 350 Can Am does not magically turn it into a P4.
Thanks, Jim. Which books would you recommend on the P3, P3/4 and 412P? They are my favorite cars of all time, and to me, the epitome of Ferrari. I agree with your last sentence. If the Ferrari factory were to make the P4 body (or the people who made the original) and convert the car back, only then would it become a P4 but it would be like trying to change history.
0858's chassis is now 350 not P4 and its engine and many other things are original 350 Can Am. Ferrari has made it very clear that they would not "classiche" 0858 as a P4 even if they or others "reconverted it". 0858 left the factory as a 350 Can Am and that's what is is. 0844 left the factory as a 330 Can Am and that's what it is. I'd start with "John Allen's "The Ford that beat Ferrari, A racing history of the Ford GT 40" and "Go Like Hell".
