    Hi guys,

Is the Porsche Turbo viable for a winter car? I have been told the S or 4S are fine, but the Turbo might be pushing it.

I'm looking at an '06 - '08. What I really like about the Turbo is pretty much the rims. The rear spoiler is growing on me too. I don't care all too much about the speed/performance aspect.

if you don't care about the speed just by a C4S with turbo wheels.

either way, with AWD, PASM, and decent winter/snow tires you'll be fine.

This video is awesome, though it's a GTS. Though IIRC, Turbos love cold air. AWD will be very beneficial though!

Turbos dont kick in that early that it will make a difference. So yes it's fine. I have had a C4S in Chicago for the past 5 years and i only spun once (but i was on summer tires..).

But yeah if you dont care about the speed/power, get a C4S. They also sound better than the Turbos.

Just go for the C4S. If you look around, you may even find some factory fitted with the Turbo wheels.

I had a 2007 997tt and put pirelli sotto zero snow tires on it and it was great in the snow. As long as it isn't so deep that it causes the under side to get hung up.
