    That statement is contradictory......in pure electric mode it uses no gas ( only front el motor works, the engine is shut down, range 16miles or 25 km...

    With the agreement they have, another mode is possible, which wont be available for the production car, a pure hybrid mode. where the engine is directly powering the back motor/generator and charging the batteries. , but the gearbox is decoupled, and the power is only on the front motor....this is the most efficient hybrid mode, in theory...

    much better example of this is the pininfarina concept with a mini jet turbine (50KW)burning diesel to charege the batteries while 4 motors at the wheels do the power... this alwoes your car to cost with 50kw...but have burst of up to 500kw when needed. It also alwos the engine to run at the peak efficiency. most power out of fuel...

    That is the way to go for efficiency. I think the Jag Supercar may try that approach as well. I wonder how much boost the P will give you before it needs to be plugged in on the road or wether or not braking and engine will recharge it. So far these systems seem like extra boost that can be used every once and a while. I also wonder what will control it? Floor throttle or like in P 4/5 CM a steering wheel mounted paddle. (We're 3 pedal)

    It's controlled via a ECU...and the settings you chose....It has 4 modes...

    Full electric, Engine off, back motor off, batteries power front motor.
    Hybrid efficiency, engine on, batteries power both front and back motors, and both motors recharge the batteries. It is optimized for best efficiency, Which probably means the electrics only aid the motor when it's consumes the most
    Hybrid performance, Same as above, but optimised for performance, (setup so that over a single lap at Numbering, you end up with ~ same battery charge..
    Hybrid hot lap. same as above, but everything is setup to speed up the car...Pedal to the metal means Engine full on, and EL motors are at their maximum consumption as well, This mode discharges the battery more over a single lap...

    The battery is 6.8Kw/h, so theoretically it can power the motors at full blast or around 3minutes, without any recharges.

    And how... I´m still surprised it´s here... Knowing how much Ferrari checks and controls all over the internet...

    BTW I remember, back in 2005-2006, when the first pictures of the 599 GTB Fiorano were leaked, someone on this board who was not sure about the car look and the pics, made kind of check over those (like the EXIF datas, something similar) using a particular software. Came out that those were official pictures from Ferrari S.p.A. Would be interesting to make a similar check to this one...

    So they mixed an F12 with a 458 and P4/5...hmm...

    Can't say it looks bad (not bad at all actually) but I'm hoping they will come up with a unique design that doesn't mash together bits and pieces from other previous models.

    I am sure it is going to be unique, like the F40, F50 and the Enzo were. I expect an evolution of the Enzo, F1 insipred, theme to distance itself from the rest of the Ferrari line up.
