    Hello!

You mean the chip? I sold the car cheap & the buyer didn't appreciate that extra oomph so I might as well remove them but I need to search for it :p

The 348 was a Berlinetta, my first Ferrari & it has Challenge car upgrades with wider rears & a shorter 2nd gearing. But by the time I had her, she was very tired & a lot of gremlins, spent well over RM100K to sort her out in 2yrs & finally sold her. Then bought a Testarossa & the list went on, very slippery road for exotic cars

I don't think you can get a major with clutch for RM4500? The clutch plate alone probably cost half that & you'll want to change the full set including pressure plate (very exp) & centre bearing etc. because a belt job is engine-out so you might as well do everything including waterpumps as well. Make sure you upgrade your water & fuel lines @ the same time, as they have a habit of catching fire

Oh! now that I remember, I still have a good set of factory front rotors for the 348 :D

plz look for those chips...rather it find a new home than sit and rot away right!? how many extra ponies does it give?

I forgot to mention that I'v gotten the parts..for the major, clutch etc...RM4500 was for labour only.....

by the way, how's the diablo? ure M'sian/Sporean? Have never seen one on the road before so where you hiding her?!

Ah no wonder. RM4500 sounds about right for labour but always prepare for extra parts. Anyway, most of the belts are available locally here. I like independant specialist as I could tell them in details what to be done such as zinc plating the correct parts, red crinkle paint on the valve covers etc to restore it. Agents don't quite entertain these thoughts as it's labour intensive.

I'm dual citizenship :) Diablo should be doing very well now, it was here for quite a while & I drove it around KL too. I used to see the red one #666 frequently & it's for sale now in cartrader.

Actually, we get to see a lot of exotics in KL. Saw a red 458 last night & another 430 this morning. In fact, they should be out in full force today since it's holiday :)

    whereabout is cartrader?

430s are a dime a dozen now.....458s are getting a little popular and will do even more so as the price drops another 20-40%.....that wld a good time for those who're interested in 430s and 360s!!! (if it isn't already that is!)

ok i'v been planning to do the red crinkle paint and some other touch ups on the bay area and to be honest the NI guys had said ok for a couple of hundred ringgit....I'm still shopping arnd to be honest....its not like i'm sending a waja for service so need to know where wld be the best/cost affective (hope they can go together!) place...

zink plating? plz tell me about this.....i'm going to do a search on this forum after this, but in a nut shell, whats the advantage (better conductivity/corrosion proof?) and what are the parts you normally do so to?

    ps: Daulat Tuanku....

Jon, the one of the Vellfire ;) I think I took that pic a very long time ago, back when I still had a Blackberry!

Bikz, no mate; wasn't Jon's co-driver to MM. I wish I had the privilege (and funds)!

Btw - I sent a text to the lads who were headed for Phuket earlier today, after learning of the news of the earthquake in Sumatra. Have heard that they might be laying off Phuket for now. Glad to hear that everyone is OK though.

Sorry for the lousy iPhone quality pic; I didn't have a camera with me. Blu Pozzi with those wheels... I believe it is the only example in Malaysia!

One of those classified mag or is it autotrader? IMHO, that tax-free car scheme will hammer the resale of older exotics since owners don't drive them daily but I'm more interested with classics these days as there'll always be something faster, fresher but how fast can we go?

There's a lot of discussions in forums on zinc plating. It's more of making it look factory new & resistance to corrosion but requires dedication on your mechanics & not everything is plated as well.

You should do the red valve cover job, it makes a lot of diff in the engine bay for little money.

I've also had the 3pc wheels of the Diablo restored recently by a guy from Kepong? Takes about 3-6 weeks, they'll remove the rubber, disassemble then polish/chrome, lacquer them. Well worth it for old cars.

Have you tried redline for your gearbox? Heard good things about it & availble in KL too.

tax free as in the lowered tax for cars above 25 years? nah i dont think so......there is still some amount of levies and tax involved, much reduced though.....there is a joker this week who has advertised his 328 for RM350k! so i reckon he think there's a market!!! i actually texted him and told him to revise his price! he replied back saying thank you!!!

i think i saw a diablo for sale on the motortrader a few months back...but not recently though......

i'v heard of redline quite a bit and am def thinking of it for the gearbox....and mobil 1 for the motor.......reckon its a good combo?

Nah. The Langkawi registered cars bearing G1M plates & even I'm tempted. You basically pay for the body price & some admin charges so a new 458 is under 1million. Road tax is about halved as well & restricted use on mainland of course which is good enough for me since I won't use it daily. Even the new Aventador is "only" Rm1.6m?+/- on that scheme while Lp560-4 is about Rm900K+/- depending on specs & these are brand new with 3 yrs warranty from agent! We can transfer it back to mainland regular plates & fully taxed but reduced after some years.

Well, restored 328s are far higher in Singapore because there's so few left. It all depends on condition & rarity. F355s are good value now but their maintenance is still a b*tch with the engine out job :(

I saw the red Diablo #666 for sale a week or two ago, think was asking 600K, a '94? car. There were a few for sale over the pass few years a 6.0SE in gold, car #008, red early Diablo & a black 6.0 in Johor. Oh & that purple 30SE, still my dream car :p

I've tried redline on my old 911 & it did work some magic but if the gearbox is too tired, the only way is still to rebuild it.

I can't recall out of a sudden. But it should be during the weekend where I am active the most, F1 side of the forum!

    Forza, Schumacher!

Are you a member of FOCM?

Camaro(s) do come in RHD. Seen a few RHD unit in Europe. Heard they are sold in UK too.

However I'm not sure if that's the Hennessey Camaro SS. I believe those don't come in RHD.

Sounds like you're getting on bahasa better than me!

I've gone overseas but if you want some nice stuff, just drop by Naza Italia along the Federal highway between Subang ~ Shah Alam? Lots of expensive metal there :)
