I replaced the centerpiece with black background and silver horse which goes better with the overall look than the yellow horse that came with wheels. Also, darkening the yellow side lights and rear red light "sharpens" the look. Incidentally, white cars usually come with "grey" grill and diffuser, and requires special order to get them painted black.

I suspect there are quite a few white/black Ferrari's running around these days. The colors seem to accentuate curves and lines, especially when looking down the side of the car toward the rear.

I am sure most of us are enjoying our 458's no matter what the color scheme. Best

Anybody have a similar overhead shot with the rear deck painted white ?

I still haven't seen any color coordinated wheels that I would want since the '80's...

I will seriously consider changing the shields when carbon fiber is available.

My first Ferrari (owned 3) with shields. I will need to consider "tradition" vs aesthetics, given the Carbon Shields will actually compliment my center wheel pieces, but having the "original" colors means something to me (not quite sure how to explain or how important just yet).

A practical question maybe someone can answer is - will the Carbon Fiber Shields fit as snuggly in the intention as the original Ferrari Shields? Best

I don't quite like shields on Lambo... Ferrari's only!

RBK, the only two-tone ferrari that I think is good is what you have... otherwise keep it one colour.

I love 458's, I'm am slowly becoming obsessed with them LOL. I don't know whats better, the look or the sound lol

Eric Clapton should have done this and spent the rest of the money on a fleet of Boxers. :)

Interesting how styling trends change. We've been trying to improve, for years, the look of the boot cover that conceals a rag top. In many instances creating hardcovers painted in the same exterior color to hide an unsightly black top. And now that theres a perfectly designed hardtop that makes the open and closed state look fantastic, we go back to painting it black highlighting a clear break in the roof line. Stranger things have happened I guess..

Not a fan of the bicolor black top on the Spyder. But each to their own...

I think the hard cover is a bit thick (with top up) on the 458 spider compared to the smooth, contoured lines of the coupe. This thickness is de-emphasized IMHO with the two-tone approach. If, I had the spider this is what I'd do in order to enhance the looks. Just my two cents and understand if others prefer it all one color.
