    Last wednesday I closed the deal on a lovely Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. It is a MY 05, TdF blue and beige interior. And most important it is a manual. :)
    The first owner was an Italian notary from the year 1938. I have never met the man, but I already like him.

    I have noticed that there is a different lay-out on the TFT display compared to the younger models. Was that a software update?
    Furthermore the car has a Tubi installed, but still is very silent at idle. Probably the exhaust is valve controlled, so I will attempt to make a switch in the cabin which will open the valves if I want the car to be louder. :)
    I just never knew how fantastic these cars are to drive. Easy when you want it to be easy, and pure adrenalin if you step on the pedal. They are unbelievably well balanced for such a big car.

    Congratulations Ton. Great colour combo. You will love the 612. It's a timeless design in my opinion. I love mine very much and it is good at everything it does.

    Would love to hear about your impressions on the manual.

    Congrats! Exactly the same color combination that I had in my old 612, which also happenned to be my very first Ferrari!

    Oh my God it's a manual 612. It's a party bus in Ferrari clothes, instilled with traditional Ferrari values. Way to go, Ton, it's gorgeous. Congratulations! Can you tell us the serial number?

    Thanks all, I am very happy.
    Can't wait to pick her up and drive her over some twisty Italian roads, Austrian mountain passes and a long German autobahn to her new home in Belgium. We have almost 700 miles to get acquainted. :)

    I have owned a 360, CS, 430 spider and a Scud but never a 612 - i guess that is why I always have a kind of under current to get one - especially at todays prices - great value and great car - hard to find in a modern Ferrari

    I can pick it up in about 10 days. Could be a little bit longer depending on the weather conditions though. :) I know they don't melt in the rain, but it is definitely more fun to drive it home on a clear day.

    I read somewhere about 5%. That would be around 150 cars, but probably less. :)
    Ferrari Belgium thinks that it is the only manual 612 in Belgium. :)
