Did you order the Scud bumper and Diffuser through your local dealer or some website? Mind sharing the links? Also the links where you purchase the tiny little parts for your ride?
Sorry. I don't get you. Tiny? Which tiny parts? This ain't 1:18. It's 1:1. Lol. Seriously, no, not from the dealer. I have a spare factory scud bumper but that's purchased via a third party. I shared the details of the company where I got the bumper from. It's one page back. The quality is really good and for a full carbon replica of the actual bumper there's nothing to complain about its fitment. Fresh off my iPhone via Tapatalk
Ok guys, once all the hardware gets shoehorned into my Scud projectcar, I'm toying with the idea of vinyl wrapping some of the panels. Here's a quick photoshop I've done from an image taken off Google Imagesearch. Roof to be vinyl wrapped in colour to match grey on bonnet stripes. Long panel of side skirts will be wrapped in glossy carbon film. Silly, I know. The skirts are originally full carbon but due to poor carbon weaving I had it painted over. Short vertical panel of the Scuderia side skirt will be in matt 3M Di-Noc carbon film to create a contrast. What do you guys think? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think it looks cool but i would go with getting those side skirts done in carbon to match the rest of the carbon theme. Im not a fan of vinyl wrap of any kind as i have seen where it lifts off esepically on edges. And once washed it just dosent have that same look.
The skirts are carbon, just painted due to poor weave pattern. Ironical, I know, wrapping a poainted-carbon skirt with carbon film....hmmm
A couple more renders with slant roof profile... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now with the full roof....I'll do a couple more renders later. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The roof will be done in the same vinyl colour as the grey in the Scuderia stripes on the bonnet. The side skirts will be in carbon glossy vinyl...or the 3M matt di-noc carbon film. What do you guys think? Overkill? Leave it alone as it is? Or go for it???
Not bad, personally I would have the wheels paint in gray instead of gold.. It looks too much for me for my personal taste.
How about I just leave it as it is? Like this? I went for gold Scud wheels as I really loved the look. If I were to go for a darker colour, it'd have to be the 16M star spoke wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
As is....this car isn't like the 458 where there's a reasonable break in the lines of the body to wrap the roof.
True. That's where the black vinyl serves as an illusion to create a break in the lines of the tear profile. That said I'm still not confident that this will turn out well. True, it doesnt cost much but it's the trouble that I detest. Fresh off my iPhone via Tapatalk
Thanks Fellas! Yes, that is the exact same conclusion I drew after giving it some extra thought. I'll leave it au naturale!
like it is, it looks perfect in my eyes! Dark wheels find on a lot of cars today, the golden colour has a really nice optic.
This is getting tougher. Mixed messages aplenty. Lol. Say, if the passenger side door glass pulls down automatically when I pull the door lever but refuses to go back up when the door is shut, is there a fault with the window module? Complete replacement of the module or is it something that can be fixed? Or could it be a battery problem considering the car has been in a lift for over a month? Strangely the driver side is fine. Cam anyone throw any light on this? Fresh off my iPhone via Tapatalk
I'm not a fan of the black side skirts. Make it look too chunky imo. I can go either way with the grey roof, not bad, but I would leave as is. Gotta love the carbon door inserts. That is a dream. Congrats!
